Their website lies and claims they help with rental and utility assistance when they really don't after you inquire about it.

My husband died three years ago in May. My in laws came to help me clean out his apartment. My brother in law said that someone put his red leather rocker/recliner in their truck. He got the to take an old 1954 chest of drawers. One issue was varnish on one side was more like dust. I kept dusting the whole unit when I wasnt in a lot of pain. remembered to dust and I wasn't in pain.Madame Ors his or had one of my lamps. The set of blue hurricane type lamps were bought in 1993

As you may be aware, the S.A. has been involved in some incredible charity work. Unfortunately, due to the implementation of changes within the organization, it's slowly sliding downhill, regardless of what they may say to convince you otherwise. What once started as a purely Christian organization with a focus on charitable works, has now turned into a paramilitary group who've taken the "Army" part of their name a little too seriously.A good example of this is a young man who wanted to become a Salvationist. He had a troubled youth and was involved in various crimes that landed him in jail. While there, he began reading the Bible and eventually turned his life around, and to God. As a result, he applied to become a Salvationist soon after his release.Unfortunately, the Salvation Army rejected his request because he has a criminal record. This coming from an organization that professes forgiveness, universal love, and unbiased acceptance.Admittedly, the Salvation Army continues to grow and provides excellent service to those in need. But for those who need Jesus, it seems, even charity has its limitations.

Not only are the majority of your nice donations being shredded and tossed out the back of the building on Alice St. but the items in the store ...clothes...are out dated, smell like moth balls, and the store as a whole needs a good cleaning! It needs a good fresh smell in there. Money from donations only pennies on the dollar go to the men's shelter there. Those men are made to work full time for them getting also pennies on the dollar and must attend THEIR church services and Bible studies. It's run more like a prison halfway house for those men. The Salvation Army is also very over priced for their musty clothes and other items. Not a good match for me in the thrifty dept. 1 star only for the 5 Griswald Store in Binghamton. Endicott store is the same...but maybe a bit better. Great place for getting jeans.

They offer plenty of clothing. Issue is that the clothes are donated yet they charge $5 for a decent pair of pants. With Mecari, FB Market place as well as SALES on The Children's Place online shopping (always free delivery) You can get a nice new unused air of pants delivered to you home. The S. Army needs to step it up and offer fair pricing on donated items. I will be strictly donate to SAMARITAN HOUSE and St. Patrick's Church ( Leroy St) which offer ONLY free items. This is NOT the time to expect the community to support programs that /after research, are also supported by the government.

Over priced I thought it was for the poor. Often cheaper to buy new on sale or clearance

My experience where the salvation army is that they bring too many people in when they have you go to the small room instead of having numbers 1 through 50 they should put their numbers and sets of 5 from 1 to 10 that way make a call number one get five people to go back wait until those five or done call number two and keep going
