Our first time here, came for a NY state inspection on the wife's car. Everyone was super friendly and even other customers seemed pleasant, both in attitude and with the service they were receiving.
I'll definitely be bringing my car here when I need my inspection as well.
The only reason I don't see it 5 stars is the parking is chaotic to say the least. Might have been just the time we got there (inspection was scheduled for noon) or just a coincidence. I heard something about there is a secondary parking lot but other than overhearing that conversation I know nothing about it.
Very happy with the service we received, I recommend bringing your vehicle here, though possibly ask about parking when making the appointment.

Actually, I was a victim of his towing by victim.I mean that without my awareness, the town of bing. decided to hold Saint Patty's Day parade two weeks early, and the county had my car towed. But if you wish to do a punitive action against somebody who's illegally parked on your prace, Ray's towing is the one to go to $275, and that was without storge. I went to go shopping and the car was gone. The good news they did no damage to the car when they told it.It seems that they were very careful when delicate with it so there is that.

I couldn't be more impressed with Ray and his staff. My car broke down as I was passing through the area. Ray was there within about 10 minutes of my call. While it is a busy shop, they quickly fit me in -- started working on my car almost immediately -- and diagnosed an electrical issue that two other mechanics overlooked. While it took several hours of working (off and on because of the demands of the shop), Ray graciously charged me a conservative estimate of the time that he took on it, and had me on my way later that day. Greg and Jay were most pleasant and accommodating as I sat in their office, and even allowed me to eat of the pizza that they purchased for lunch. Although I attempted to pay for my portion, I found my money in the cupholder of my car once it was ready. To top it off, after Greg found out that I am a Christian, he escorted me out to my finished car and prayed for me before I departed. It was an unbelievable experience and way beyond good customer service.
For what it is worth, while sitting in the office, they received a call from a young man who had been quoted $3,500 worth of work needing to be done (rack and pinion, and struts -- if I recall correctly) by another company in town. They fit him in (same day) and discovered that he only needed a fraction of the work done. Greg and the mechanic did not throw the other company under the bus as he gave the summary of their findings, and did not pressure the young man to use them. In fact, Greg encouraged him to think about it, research or ask someone he trusts about it, and give them a call if he would like for them to do the work. Again, I was impressed by their honesty and integrity.
I would recommend Ray and his staff to absolutely anyone! If I didn't live seven hours away, I'd use them for all of my work!

I drove up to Binghamton from Long Island and my car had an issue two blocks away from my hotel… luckily after a 4 1/2 hour drive I made it to the hotel parking lot which happened to be across the street from Ray’s. First thing the next morning I called, and they were super pleasant, accommodating, and incredibly helpful right from the start. Greg and the staff were dedicated to getting my car back in driving condition so I could make it home that night. I am grateful for their expertise, as well as their kindness!Service: General repairs & maintenance

So I can't do any more than three stars because I didn't actually use Ray's auto for anything, and I don't want to give less than three because I don't know how their service is.. I am leaving a review however because at about 10:00 on a Thursday morning, I called these guys because my wife is sitting on the side of an exit ramp off the highway with a flat tire and I needed someone to either tow it, or change it for her, and I figured a nice 24-hour towing place would be able to get it done... Only instead of answering the phone it rang a few times and went to voicemail. I thought that was kind of odd. I've used 24-hour towing places before and typically there is at least an operator or someone that answers the phone, or one time I remember a voicemail box that said if nobody calls you back in 5 minutes here's another number. But anyway yeah, yelp is where I typically go to share my experiences, and luckily we found someone else that I basically threw a stack of cash at to go change her tire for her.

Great place! Very understanding, polite. Reasonable prices. I believe they care about their reputation and work with integrity and professionalism. Very good experience here. Very helpful. Did not promise me same day service, but accomplished it the same day! Highly recommend for those who require quality of auto service!

I highly recommend this place, they are honest, fair, fast and do excellent work. By far the best mechanic I have ever been to. I have brought my car here several times over the past few weeks, and most recently my car was not going into park.
