My now Wife and I had our wedding here in September. The staff went above and beyond for our special day. We had family from all over the country attend and everyone commented on how beautiful the venue location was and how much fun they had.The food was legitimately delicious, there are so many weddings where the food is just mediocre and it’s the same old stuff. After our wedding at Full Moon we had so many guests mention how great the food was. We were worried there wouldn’t be enough however there was sooo much food and plenty for the after party as well. The staff handles all the little details day of and no task is too small or too big. They helped pack everything up and sent us on our way the afternoon after the wedding. Nikki was so personable and made every effort to keep us relaxed throughout our stay, the guests really appreciated her humor. Morgan managed all of our concerns and addressed them immediately, making for a smooth wedding day.The room situation can be stressful while planning, but all of our guests loved their rooms. They were clean and organized and everyone enjoyed being onsite. The cake was made on site and they did a fantastic job. The design was perfect and it tastes better than anything we could have supplied. I recommend letting them make your wedding cake.We had so many compliments about the venue that it made all the planning worth it.If you want a unique venue in the Catskills where the staff takes great care of you, we definitely recommend Full Moon.

We loved photographing Kevin and Vernon's wedding here! We cannot say enough about this venue. From the location in the Catskill Mountains (with endless hilltop views), to the friendly staff, and quaint (yet upscale) buildings - it was perfect. Even with a slight drizzle, every location was picture-perfect. Be sure to take a walk through the trees to the babbling creek not only for great photographs, but also a quite moment with your loved one (:

I attended my cousin's wedding that was here recently. There are pros and cons to this place. This is a review as a wedding guest and not as the wedding couple. My advice:- If the wedding event is 3 days/2 nights and you are staying for the entire event and you can afford a nicer room, then get the nicer room. The lower tier rooms that had private bathrooms were very small and were inconsistent in quality. My aunt and her adult son requested twin beds and there was barely room to move around.- When you get your room assignment, look at the resort's Airbnb listing so you can see photos of your room and can adjust your expectations. I don't know if you can switch rooms before confirming your booking; that might be something to ask the wedding couple.- Download offline maps before you leave for the resort and before you check out from your stay. There is no cell service in the area. On your way there, you will lose cell service when you're within 20-30 minutes of the resort. The resort does have wifi, but that only helps you when you're on the resort grounds. Don't risk being without a map if you're not familiar with the area.Pros: - Beautiful resort grounds. - The wedding was a 3 day/2 night event and food was included in the stay. There was definitely enough food at the buffets and enough time to be at leisure with your meal. - If you have time for sightseeing, the world's largest kaleidoscope is a 20 minute drive away.Cons: I feel there are a range of issues from small to large. A few of the staff seem burned out and are at the point where their responses aren't professional.- I reserved a tier 4 cottage, which is the most expensive tier. The toilet had a bunch of toilet paper in the toilet bowl. Was this leftover from cleaning? Was this from the previous guest using the toilet? I have no idea. It was surprising because it's not like I checked in early and there was a rush to have my room ready.- For my mom's bathroom in her room, the toilet had a seat but no lid. In my opinion, that could be unsanitary when you flush the toilet after using it. It's also very strange considering the toilets in the banquet hall and other public facilities had toilets with lids for their toilet seats.- Other guests also had problems with amenities. I saw one guest ask the front desk for more shampoo. The staff person at the desk radioed someone, who gave a really weird response. The other staff replied that there's shampoo in the shower. The front desk had to explain over the radio that the guest is asking for shampoo because the bottle is empty. I don't even know why that had to be explained.- One of my other cousins (who was a guest) specifically asked the facility if a hair dryer and iron would be available in the room. She was told yes, but there was none in her room.- The grounds are definitely not friendly for folks with mobility or balance issues. The paths are gravel and some paths have deep grooves that you can trip in. Some paths have steep inclines. At night, some of the motion sensor lights on the way to cabins and lodges weren't working so you had to be careful where you walked.- The wedding ceremony was at the lower grove but the resort staff didn't clearly communicate that a shuttle was available to drive people there. There were guests wearing high heels and a lot of people over the age of 70. I guess there's this idea that it's no big deal because it's only a 5 minute walk, but there are no paved paths and you have to walk on gravel and grass.- During the wedding dinner, I saw one staff person carrying around her reading very weirdly. She had stuffed it under her bra strap, but it was slipping further down the front of her bra/shirt. I think she must have been manager level because she wasn't it a uniform. It was kinda gross because you shouldn't be using your bra for storage...and I don't want to be seeing that before a meal.

This venue was absolute peaceful and quaint. I loved the entire property. Lots of beautiful views. Service was amazing, food, drinks, everything. The bartenders are so cool and kept us happy. The event organizer is a BEAST! SHE DID SO GOOD. The only complaint I had were the few earwigs that were sneaking into our room from outdoors but it's nature so I guess it can't be helped. Other than that I loved this place.

Attended as a guest for a Sunday afternoon summer time wedding and even in the pouring rain, was wowed. Gorgeous property, cute kitschy rooms, massive space and so lush. The staff were helpful and lovely. They really have a well oiled machine IMO. The WiFi was expansive so no real issue there but honestly, be off tech!! Breakfast post wedding was also glorious.

I shot videography here for a wedding. The grounds were large, and the reception building was beautiful. The mountains in the background were gorgeous. It was a good wedding day.?

Ok, for A DJ, it's the best load in and out. Open the door and walk right in a few feet and set up..other than the distance from the main road and the drive-in. It is a beautiful place, and I would love to experience the cabin stays. I'm not sure about why there was no cell phone service, but there was plenty of wifi available at the venue...The food was incredible and tasty.

Deciding to have our wedding at Full Moon was the best decision we could have made. My (now husband) and I were a bit late to the planning game and were thrilled when Full Moon had an opening the weekend of July 15 for our wedding. As soon as we visited the property, we knew it was perfect for us. Not only were the picturesque surroundings breathtaking, but we loved that all of our friends and family could stay on site. Moreover, FMR and their incredible team provide everything you could need including amazing food, pre and day-of coordination, as well as recommendations for vendors such as florists, photographers, etc. to make planning as easy as possible. From the start of our planning journey, the staff was impeccable. Kind, warm, knowledgable and extremely on top of everything. They were patient and accommodating, and just a joy to get to know. From their chef, to bar manager, to event manager and everyone in between, we could not have asked to encounter a kinder group of people. The food was AMAZING; breakfast, lunch, and dinners were all delicious. Multiple people said this was the best wedding food they've had. We opted for the tapas style and got an amazing mix of passed hors d'oeuvres and entrees. Special mention to the custom mozzarella sticks they made for us, as well as the coconut shrimp which you should absolutely not miss. We had a delicious funfetti cake prepared in-house (I definitely recommend having FMR make your cake, they're so talented and the cakes are GORGEOUS), and they also accommodated two special beverage requests for the night-before BBQ (a rum punch) and the reception (make your own gin and tonics with local garnishes—I mean, come on!). We had a gorgeous cocktail hour on the lawn prior to the reception and it was one of the most stunning settings (plus an amazing meat and cheese board which is very important to me :) The after party was at the Roadhouse, their on-site bar, and that was an absolute blast. They also delivered some late-night pizzas which were must-appreciated by our guests. The accommodations were lovely and I can't stress enough how special it was to have everyone stay on sight. Everyone go to know each other and bond over the weekend; so many unexpected and wonderful connections were made. My husband and I can quite literally say this was the best weekend of our lives so if you're looking for a place to get married in upstate NY, this is the place to do it. We're eternally grateful to the FMR staff! They are genuinely people I would love to stay in touch with going forward.

Review from professional wedding photography and wedding videography team. We’ve been to countless wedding venues in the Catskills, but Full Moon resort is one of our MOST favorite wedding venues. The staff is friendly, down to earth, the rooms are clean, the property is beyond charming, and the food is absolutely incredible considering they’re serving to large events and still maintain quality control. Will recommend Full Moon Resort over any venue in the Catskills.Rooms: Clean and charming rooms.
