DO NOT STAY HERE!
***Update 3 weeks later: “Andy” has emailed me threatening legal action for defamation saying this review negatively impacted his business as he just received word his cabin was free of mold by a licensed inspector & my review is fabricated LOL. He is saying I blackmailed him when I requested a refund for putting us in unsafe accommodations. Nice right? Great business model.
This place is a moldy nightmare, I actually felt sick. We arrived to a mildew covered "White" Cabin 7 and a dead rotting snake on our doorstep, it smelled DISGUSTING. Rose, the manager came when I asked her to remove it and threw it over maybe 3ft, we smelled it the whole time until we had to move it ourselves. The inside of Cabin 7 is covered in black mold, in the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms and it smelled so bad we got out our air fresheners from the car and wound up having to leave. My family had rodents in their cabin 4 and open bags of peanuts and snacks everywhere. They obviously didn't clean it, who leaves open snacks in a rural cabin? No cleaning crew on site, only Rose, the sole employee running around like a chicken with her head cut off. None of the lights in Cabin 5 worked for my dad and he was left in a musty old dark cabin. Hmmm, what else, there were cigarette butts in all of the dilapidated grills, construction and rock piles everywhere, huge holds in the road. Out of every window and every view was ugly construction equipment. No groundskeeping was done, weeds, overrun with poison ivy all over our deck, we couldn't even go outside. A slimey green colored pool infested with frogs. Oh and NONE of the lights worked or electrical sockets worked in two of the cabins, we had to use our flashlights on our phones. The whole place has spotty bad electric, in the middle of JUNE during no storms! We paid $504 for TWO nights, and were not told of 1. Construction being everywhere. 2. The pool was not open (as if anyone would dare to go in it) in the middle of June.
Rose refused to offer us any sort of refund for the fact we wound up leaving it was so gross. She said it's policy to report stuff on site, not after, even though she was no where to be found and didn't answer any calls or text from me or any of my family. What a nightmare this place is. Ruined what could have been a nice family weekend and risked my health and safety. RUN AWAY!
Oh, I forgot to mention. I paid half upon booking and the other half was to be paid upon checkout. We hadn’t even put our bags down before I got a notification my card was charged the balance. I would have never stayed OR paid the balance if I had a choice after I saw our “cabin” (a garage attachment). When I asked Rose for a refund, she stated all complaints were to be made during the stay, which no one responded to. This is a money making machine and they do not care about the area, grounds, or you.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Cold Spring Lodge, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! Nestled in the breathtaking Catskill Mountains, this charming lodge is the perfect getaway for nature lovers.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. The cozy wood cabins are beautifully maintained and offer a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Waking up to the stunning mountain views each morning was truly magical.
During our stay, we enjoyed hiking on the scenic trails, fishing in the crystal-clear streams, and simply relaxing by the fire. Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, Cold Spring Lodge is the perfect destination. I can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to return!
Nearby activities: Hiking trail was really fun and the views were breathtaking.

Hiking and lodging upstate (don't argue on those semantics, I'm from NYC, it's upstate from me!) is a true pleasure in all the different seasons. The lodge is nestled between the mountains, which makes it very peaceful and beautiful. The price for a room or a cabin are both super reasonable for the area.

Stayed here two nights with some friends for a ski trip to belleayre mountain. We found the cabin we chose to be quaint and cozy with a beautiful view from our wraparound porch. The value of this place is most exceptional. It's very hard to beat sleeping 5 people comfortably for $150 a night, only 10 minutes from a major ski mountain. My only regret from this trip is not spending enough time in our comfortable cabin or the main lodge filled with fun activities. I will be back soon!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The lodge is located in between the mountains, which makes it very quiet, peaceful, and scenatic. The backward of the lodge has a very beautiful lawn with mountains and a river and can enjoy your time grilling or barbecuing there or just sit relax and enjoy nature. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the washroom was also super clean. Jacob was a wonderful host and also guided us for places to visit nearby and was just a hand away for any help or support. You will definitely love this place if you want a gateway from the city or for a peaceful place to relax and meditate. We will definitely stop here anytime we want to go to the mountains.

Beware the premise is nothing like the description, best to look elsewhere for a comfortable stay. These cabins are very disappointing, they are not maintained. Trying to have service at the front desk was never answered after paying the stay. Bottom line these cabins should be demolished and rebuilt; nothing can be salvage. Had it not been for the prepayment on the reservation for this cabin, I would have gone to sleep somewhere else.Stay away from this location!

Just got back from a weekend with friends here. We had a great time grilling out in the backyard. The wooded area further back with creek is very nice to explore. The cabins are cozy, beds comfortable, I slept like a rock! It's also very convenient for good hiking. Will be back soon!

This most disappointing experience begins upon arrival on a neglected, pot hole-filled entrance with a crooked sign and a dodgy front desk area. Then on to the cabin for the horror show. Barely-functional doors, windows that needed to be changed yesterday, draped in old dusty curtains, not a welcome sight. The kitchen is not functional : only one pot and pan, no dish towel nor coffee filters or sieve or most basic cooking amenities. The windowless bathroom has no fan and the door does not close, not practical for 2 couples. The bathtub and joints are full of grime; no one in our group had the stomach to take a shower.Bedroom was stuffy despite an airplane propeller-sized fan working full-time (past water damage? ) . The bedroom window sill has a foot-long gap so bugs and critters could have gotten in the cabin. Speaking of bugs, we had our lot of earwigs in the cabin; at least 4 sightings in 2 days. Finally, there was the mystery room in the kitchen, opening into a dirt-covered duct-laden closet. No one should charge these prices for such poor ccommodations. This place was all that was left in the area so we had to take it. If we had to do it again, I would rather sleep in the woods

4 minutes away from the wedding. 50 a night for an older room was exactly what I was looking for.

We have been staying here several times. It’s always our most favorite place to stay in Catskills.
