I rarely write a review, but this place is amazing. Mara knew exactly what styles worked on my figure and the owner could not have been any nicer and worked with me on my budget. I can’t wait to wear my sons mother of the groom dresses next year and will post photos. If you want a one of a kind dress, this is the place to go.

Runway Couture is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!! Kim, one of the owners, is super attentive, hands-on, and possesses an unparalleled sense of fashion and style. We visited looking for a dress for my mother for my brother's wedding this September 2024. She wanted a sexy, yet classy mother-of-the-groom dress. Joanne, the stylist that helped us along with Kim, was eager to help and listened to exactly what my mother was looking for. She pulled out 4-5 dresses that were all so beautiful and perfectly matched my mother's style. She ultimately found and purchased the perfect dress: a navy, off-the-shoulder gown with beaded appliqués. It is truly one of a kind.
While we were there, Kim showed me her collection of custom couture sample dresses, and I was BLOWN away by all of them. There was ONE dress in particular that I just HAD to have, even though I don't know when or where I'll wear it yet!
I highly recommend this sophisticated boutique that goes above and beyond to make their clients a top priority. Their prices are fair, and Kim's team of stylists are amazing! Thank you, Kim and Joanne, for an unforgettable experience!

Runway Couture made me the wedding dress I didn't know I wanted for a price that matched traditional wedding dress stores. The staff are professional, friendly, and top-of-their class designers and seamstresses. No detail was too small to make sure I both looked and felt great.

I've been a proud customer of Runway Couture for an amazing 10 years, and once again, they have completely blown me away! Throughout the years, I've picked up a stunning array of dresses for everything from charity galas to weddings and beyond. Most of them, designed by the talented Kimberly and or Mara, has left me absolutely thrilled. Right now, we’re working on a gorgeous black dress with a dramatic overlay. The brand or material is called horsehair (quite amusing name). And I simply can't wait to flaunt it!
Mara has always been incredibly supportive and accommodating, and this visit was no different. Even though I know the store inside and out, she still managed to surprise me with exceptional service and attention to detail. Her passion and expertise in helping me find the perfect dress are truly unparalleled.
What sets Runway Couture apart is their unwavering dedication to providing exceptional customer service. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure that I am completely over the moon with my dress, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.

I was blown away when entering Runway Couture ! The designs are absolutely stunning and definitely original. The staff was very professional and pleasant as they assisted me on picking out a gorgeous gown for my Galla Event! I definitely recommend going there ! You will NOT be disappointed

I absolutely LOVED the dress I got for my cousin's wedding. She's my last cousin to get married and I was so excited to finally have a reason to get an over the top dress. The dress was absolutely beautiful, tailored perfectly to my size and customized a bit to cover my body where I feel slightly less secure. I felt like the Belle of the ball! So many compliments all night! Mara did such an amazing job finding the perfect dress for my body type! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience buying a dress from Runway Couture. I went in a couple of weeks ago to look for a dress for a wedding. From the minute you walk in the store you can tell that this store is unique and has beautiful dresses. I met with Kim and her staff who went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explore all available options with me. I received so many compliments about the dress and people asking where I got it. Based on the experience, quality and customer service, in the future I would only go to Runway Couture for dresses for events.

Never go here! they were so rude and judgy and kept mentioning how their dresses were "high price" as if i didn't have the money to spend on it, i should have read the reviews before even walking into this place, i felt degraded, i went in looking for a prom dress, and they made me feel like i could not afford any of their dresses, i do not recommend this place at all.

Had called ahead to see if they had anything for mother of the bride that would be suitable for a beach wedding. Of course they said yes. When we arrived they had one outfit that was so overpriced I couldn't believe it. As soon as I asked if they had anything within my price range ($1200) she said I'll be right back to you. Well needless to say we never saw the salesperson again. She passed us on to someone else who helped my daughter find a dress. She was very nice and patient but I was the one who looked through the racks and found the perfect dress for her ceremony in NY. (She had bought a wedding gown for the reception in Aruba). I wouldn't recommend runway couture unless you want to spend outrageous amounts of money on things that aren't worth it.

Dreams really do come true!!!The experience I had at Runway Couture was magical. Everyone in the shop was 100% committed to making me look and feel spectacular for my son's wedding! I have never been in a boutique that was filled with so many talented people. Each and every person who works there has a passion for what they do. It was like walking into wonderland every time I was there. Kim is an angel! Her commitment to her clients and to creating what makes them look and feel beautiful is extraordinary. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and she was able to design the outfit of my dreams. How lucky I feel to have worked with Kim and her entire team, their generosity and passion for what they do are truly incomparable!

If I could I would give it "0" stars and less than that. Absolutely not runway or couture. It's the dresses that ran off the runway to be recycled. All the dresses have the labels taken out and Runway Couture labels sewn in and no visible price tags. They should be ashamed of themselves to scam the customer by charging 1000's of dollars for a dress that wholesales at $60. Price tags are hidden under the dress or the under the lining. Some have no price tags. First 2 Red flags. Of course they asked if I have an appointment and I didn't. They told I will have to wait. No big deal. Then when the woman asked me my budget I told her. She paid no attention. I told her no sheath dresses and I needed an A- line fit. Every dress she brought me was a sheath dress and even a scuba dress. I had to keep asking for the prices and was told they are not in my price range but they have others that are more expensive that I would like. I kept being told it's not my size and it will be perfect in my size. Of course I was told how beautiful every dress looked. One was worse than the other. They had me try on a dress that looked like a prom dress. It was a sheer corset on top with lots of boning and was extremely puffy on the bottom with many layers of tulle. Told me they would use lace over it and remove some of the tulle material. I thought if I sneezed I would break a rib. I felt like I was going to a costume party. They stood by the dressing room waiting for me to take off the dress. They told me not to hang it up and give it right to them. The curtain did not close completely on either side. They were paranoid that I would take pics of the dress. They told me no pics of the dresses or my information about the cost and alterations. Hmm. Obviously hiding something. The prices are insane plus alterations. They wanted $4200 + TBD alterations for a plan nothing dress that is NOT designer and and can be purchased online for probably $100. It is despicable to deceive the customer. They have the cheapest crap dresses. Please do your research. Be a smart shopper and don't get ripped off for thousands of dollars. Go to the 2 stores that begin with an N, the 2 that begin with B or Saks. The Runway Couture store is a scam tricking the customer in thinking they are getting something high end when it's recyclable trash.

Arrived on time for appointment with Mara. I was coming from work for appointment thus well dressed in tailored suit. Mara greeted me by asking what I wanted to spend. Didn't ask where/when wedding was and left me to attend to a "regular" customer. She had A salesperson attend to me. I and tried on one dress and left. Deplorable customer service, Mara lacks manners and had she been astute and customer friendly she would have realized that I was interested in more than a dress. I went the next day to Vivaldi boutique where I was treated with lunch, well mannered sales people and exceptional customer service. I purchased mother of the groom dress, rehearsal dress and dress for cocktail hour and post wedding party. Please runaway from Runway Couture. Go to Vivaldi Boutique 1388 Third Ave NY 212-734-2805. You will be treated as a Queen.

Initially I had a good experience at runway couture purchasing a gown for my daughters wedding. My horrible experience occurred as the hem of my sequins gown started to come undone before I stepped out of the wedding suite for my daughters wedding. The entire night was spent cutting the threads from the dress. Upon calling the store a week later the owner treated me VERY poorly, even asked to show her proof that the loss of the hem and loss of sequins (form the floor to my knees) actually occurred at the wedding. Where else would it have occurred ? I did find a picture to prove my claim. I asked for the alteration cost to be refunded The owner would Only refund me half but they did fix the gown. I will never buy a gown there again.
