I don't no where to start in commending LIFEC for the outstanding legal services and representaion that they provided to me and my mother. I intially met with other Elder Care Lawyers to help me fill out the Medicaid Application for my mothers modest estate. Aside from the exhorbitant fees that they wanted to charge via ala carte services, they tried to justify it by saying its better the fees go to them then Medicaid, as Medicaid will take all her assets.Hence I was fortunate to find LIFEC. They charge a very reasonable flat rate for the Application and go above and beyond to providing unanticipated services. Tom Tuzzulo is a a top notch attorney who's door is always open. My mother was living in an assited living facilty. She developed dementia and the Assited Living Facility could no longer care for her in that facility. She was in need of Skilled Nursing. For those of you who have tried to apply to a SNF with a for a parent with dementia, you know it can be a nightmare. I beleive these SNF's prefer short term care as it's more profitable. Anyhow afer 3 months of searching Tom and John D'Angelis were able to place her in a SNF of my choosing. I'm was very paticular in where my mother was placed. John was just as compassionate as me in getting my mother into the right facility as not all are the same. And guess what, even with all the additional hours that they provided they did not charge me 1 red penny over the initial flat rate. I beleive they are affiliated as a non profit which explains alot....client first. Tom and John, I am a fan of yours for life!

This is a very well run, fun and friendly thrift store! The prices are better than Goodwill or Savers. The best part is - they get new stuff all the time . I come here once a week and ALWAYS go home with a sack of interesting stuff. The best thing about this place is NO CLOTHES , no glasses, dishes , plastic cups/ water bottles , broken stuff from Marshalls . LOTS of vintage . Not a lot of toys , but I have seen a lot of dolls here. LOTS of home decor !! The money goes to a GREAT CAUSE . Sunday it gets VERY busy here . GO early - then hit the Bellmore flea market! A FUN DAY for me ! Nothing has price tags - you bring your bundle to the front and they "total you up" . On the average day ; my items probably come to $5.00 each , more or less. Also , they sometimes throw in FREE stuff on your way out the door! The store is not huge - but it's packed out . There are vinyl records here -- but they are somewhat "picked thru" because these vinyl collectors are CRAZY and have an insatiable appetite for records. They probably get he first thing. GO HERE and skip the "BIG BOX" thift stores like Unique and Salvation Army !

When buying silver here, do own research before purchasing it to verify if real silver or silver plated. If you think something is real silver or ask if its real silver, it will be sold to you like it is real silver. But the owner, Bobbie, can't tell which is real silver so dont ask them. Can test itemsself with magnet (real silver isnt magnetic), researching online what it says engraved on the item, and real silver is not heavy. I think most thrift shops knows which items are real silver to sell at its price point. They have many old pretty silver plated item which can attempt to clean or spray paint. I also recommend bringing triple A and double AA batteries to test elecronics such as clocks before buying them. Unfortunately, 1 out of 2 clocks I bought doesnt work. Have to inspect items as best as can before purchasing at thrift items. Other than that, great place to find truly vintage things since I beleive they get their things from elderly homes. Not much clothes. Mostly dish set, serving dishes, cool trunks for storage, home decorations and items, trays, brooches, showcase items, small toy section, back corner old dvd and stereo section, furniture in the back outside... Do bargain after gathering all your items.

This is a family run charity shop that is actually doing some good for people! While there, we heard the owners talking to people who had come there needing help. I got the feeling they are doing a lot for people in the community! I love this place. It is more like an antique store than a thrift shop. The merchandise hasn't been sitting in big bins - just thrown there waiting to be priced and getting chipped and broken while it waits. Nothing I picked up was damaged and it was all very nice quality. I piled a bunch of things on the counter and got a pretty good price on them. Enough that I can resell them. As a reseller, it is worth it to pay a little more for goods that are in better condition than what I find at Goodwill and the other local thrift stores. The owners are very friendly and helpful. And their Wednesday night auctions are a hoot! I didn't buy anything at last week's - my first - but I will be back next week to try again! And this shop is now a regular weekly stop on our picking schedule. We wlll be back again and again. We will also be making donations to them to help others.

The only reason this did not warrant 5 stars is because the inventory was less than spectacular . HOWEVER : if you are a hunter & a picker : the people that work here are very nice and they price everything at pretty much "thrift store" prices NOT collectible prices! I left with a big shopping bag of misc. items for $20.00 - I was happy ! There are some higher priced items - but they are few and far between. Most of the stuff here is priced to GO. They had some GREAT cheap chairs in the back yard! Also furniture that looked really nice for next to nothing prices. When you pay -- seek out the lady with the shoulder length curly hair ! Some of the pricing is just made up as they go along -- which seems to be in your favor. There is a little bit of everything here but NOT for the under 30 year olds (no comic books , video games , Star Wars , He Man, etc.) . So don't travel from really far away to come here. GREAT place to go with no Bellmore flea market in the winter.
