Horrible Experience: FURNITURE GALLERY OF LONG ISLAND, 607 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore, NYThis matter has been resolved by the showroom manager Ed and the digital media manager Andrew and I. I changed my rating to a 3 star only because I received my $500 check back and per store owner request canceled my Small Claims Court case. Had this issue been resolved prior to filing that case I would have not written a review at all. If you shop there ONLY deal with Ed.I recently purchased a high-end Flexsteel sectional and recliner from MICHAEL ACKER, the owner of FURNITURE GALLERY OF LI. Upon delivery and set up the sectional did not align at all; it was completely off. After Mike’s unsuccessful attempt to fix the alignment, he sent an outside field technician who also could not fix it and deemed the sectional a “manufacturer defect.” The furniture was removed from my home within 3 weeks of initial delivery. Mike withheld $500 for delivery and pickup of defective furniture. I reached out to a VP at Flexsteel (the manufacturer) for help. They informed me that the issue was resolved between them and Furniture Gallery of LI via Flexsteel’s warranty process. I went to revisit Mike in his store to try and resolve this and give him another chance to return my money and make things right. Needless to say, we got nowhere. I am sharing some photos and a brief video.

Public Service Announcement: FURNITURE GALLERY OF LONG ISLAND, 607 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore, NY I recently purchased a high-end Flexsteel sectional and recliner from MICHAEL ACKER, the owner of FURNITURE GALLERY OF LI located on Sunrise Highway, Bellmore. Upon delivery, I noticed that the sectional did not align at all; the top, bottom, back, and front seams were completely off. Something was clearly wrong. After Mike's unsuccessful attempt to fix the alignment, he sent an outside field technician. Based on the field technician's multiple years' experience, he deemed the sectional a "manufacturer defect" and the furniture was removed from my home within 3 weeks of initial delivery. However, Mike thought it was acceptable to withhold $500 from me, the consumer. He basically charged me a fee for "defective" furniture; something I did not cause and had absolutely no control over. When asked why I am paying anything, Mike said he delivered it, picked it up, and spent time working the issue so I should pay; something he classified as "being fair." Mind you, I took time off from work for delivery and pick up, gave his men a generous cash tip, and spent numerous hours and experienced much aggravation to address the issue. Should I be reimbursed for that? I should also mention that Mike stated that the misalignment was "normal for some sectionals" and there was really "nothing wrong." Seriously? Neither he nor the field technician could repair the problem; and his field technician deemed it "defective" (I have the final report as proof). I reached out to a VP at Flexsteel (the manufacturer) for help. They informed me that the issue was resolved between them and Furniture Gallery of LI via Flexsteel's warranty process, which supports the "manufacturer defect" claim. After learning this, I decided to revisit Mike in his store to try and resolve this and give him another chance to return my money and make things right. Needless to say, we got nowhere. I am sharing some photos and a brief video so you can view and decide for yourself. Unfortunately, it has been a horrible experience with this local merchant. I have no furniture and I am out money for no reason of my own.

The service you get from Michael and Eddie is above and beyond anywhere else. These are salt of the earth people who don’t just sell you furniture—they can look at the layout of your place and help you pick the perfect size pieces and number of pieces. They have high end pieces and luxurious fabrics to chose from. The customization makes you feel like your furniture is unique and represents what your style is (which we all know changes over time!!).. the delivery is seamless and the pieces come in Brand Spanking New with white glove service.Michael and Eddie helped make our house into a home and we wouldn’t have it any other way.Highly recommended and worth every penny!

I like the quality and variety that I saw there. I also like how they readily contact suppliers to get you what you want that isn't in the store. You can choose from the catalogs and it's ordered for you.

Place is great!! Came here from queens because my mom was looking for good quality furniture! Eddie was our sales person. He was so nice and helpful with the process of purchasing multiple pieces for our new home. Highly recommend this place! Prices are better than your typical "big box stores". You have a person to explain the difference from one brand to other, give you options and take the time to let you decide.

The entire process from looking around to purchasing to delivery was flawless. We were kept in the loop all along with the the time frame. Delivery was seamless. They removed my old furniture and set up the new furniture perfectly. I look forward to working with Michael and his team in the future.

I had bought a living room sectional year 2017. First year the couch is just in horrible conditions. I was cleaning the insides Cracks of the couch and I see fabric from an old old style fabric. Basically came to conclusion this is a recycle couch. No wonder this couch is so uncomfortable. Be wise to buy from here i ended up throwing away the sectional and buy new couchs and the sectional was only 3 years old and has to be thrown out.

We bought mattresses from here the first time we went to Furniture gallery. Mike Acker the owner helped us pick out the perfect mattress for our boys. He was able to find a mattress that was supportive & comfortable for my husband & I which is not an easy task but he did it. Mike is so knowledgeable, listens to your needs and he is the nicest person and great to work with. He is not pushy at all and doesn’t helicopter to while you walk around looking.
