**WARNING** Brought my car to A&L&J for timing chain issues - took the owner, Ray, SIX WEEKS to do the repair, only to tell me that there was no compression and that I needed a new engine. I was aware that there was the possibility of additional damage because the car has an interference engine, but having to wait SIX WEEKS to be told this is unacceptable. The owner is working by himself - there are no other mechanics at the shop. I was told by another area auto repair business that no one wants to work for this guy anymore. We have brought our cars to Ray for several years and received acceptable service, but after this experience I will be finding a new mechanic.

Please pay Quick Auto Parts the $1837.19 that you have owed them for over a year. They gave you credit when other suppliers cut you off. Be a man and pay your bill. Thanks.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS AUOTBODY! My car was in perfect condition and the engine was completely ruined after taking it to this Autobody. I had taken my car there for years and trusted the owner would do a good job. I got an oil change in February, he didn't tighten the oil cap completely which caused oil to leak out. This eventually caused the engine to blow up because there was no oil left. $3,000 later I needed a new engine! I will never see that money again, all because I took it here for a $30 oil change. Fast forward to this week my mom was still taking her car to this place, he charged her $900 for new break pads and a new battery. The dealer said it would be $500..then he made something up saying the pads wouldn't come off and charged her another $100. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO TO THIS MECHANIC. He is a THEIF!

Wasted 4 hours for a motorcycle inspection that didn't pass because the old man doesn't know DMV state inspection laws. If you don't have a harley this shop will scrutinize your bike. I've had family members go here with Harley's and be in and out in 10 minutes but apparently I had to leave my Yamaha there for several hours.

Went to A&L&J to have a spare tire mounted for a trailer I just bought .when I purchased the trailer the tire was included in the sale.the gentlemen behind the desk came out to see the wheel and tire I needed mounted .i was told that he could mount the tire "but not my tire" .He wouldn't mount the tire unless he ordered the tire and sold it to me ...I explained to him that I am a local to North Bellmore and I believe in supporting local small businesses and I felt it was wrong that he turned me away..His answer was ,"that's fine I don't need you to come back " I went to this shop to get a tire mounted ,I didn't ask a price for the mounting ,I figured whatever it was going to be ,it would have been fair....everyone's time is money ...but to not service a customer because you weren't making any money on the tire itself is wrong ..I will never go back here for a motorcycle inspection or any other mechanical needs . Downright rude and In my opinion foolish .....especially from a business standpoint ....THE LOCALS PAY YOUR BILLS!!!!!!
