Asked for a recommendation based on other jerky we like. Was directed to a bag that we purchased. After opening, the jerky literally crumbled in our hands and had zero flavor. Went back thinking we had a bad bag and was told it's "old school jerky" but in all our years of trying different jerky (homemade and bought) we never had stuff that crumbled like that freeze dried astronaut ice cream. There was no remorse at the store, no I'm sorry. Just a "that's how it is" so we left dissatisfied. When you recommend something you should back it.

This is the only local place I know of that carries vegan jerky. They have a great selection if you're vegan/vegetarian, and much more if you eat meat, including jerky for pets. Great place.

First time going in there. Tried samples of the jerky and ended up purchasing the lemon pepper biltlong jerky. Nice and tender and delicious taste. Next time will sample some of the hot sauces being that I am a hot sauce lover. Owner was very kind and knows his stuff.

This charming shop has an impressive selection of hot sauces and jerkies. The staff member was helpful in providing guidance as to selection of sauces. Prices are reasonable.

This shop is such a gem for hot sauce lovers,, like me!They carry beef jerky and other items. The store is female-owned and the sauces are chosen for their taste not just the heat. I picked 4 to try. All are getting used.

This is what I love about small businesses. Hot sauces may not be a niche interest anymore, but to find a store that specializes in them, and an owner who is passionate and can guide you through their selection is so wonderful. Looking forward to returning!

Lots of variety and they sell more than just jerky- also have a lot of leather items and repurposed hides. They lack a bit in local hudson valley brand jerkies but still carry a few. Was happy to see a large vegan section and even dog jerky! Def on the pricier side but quality is worth the coin

Wonderful little shop with such kind people working there! So many products. I love love love hot sauce so it can be overwhelming to choose something. It was wonderful to speak with people who have knowledge and opinions about the products they are selling. They helped me narrow it down to a tasty few! This is the exact reason why we all need to support local business!

Walk through the Main St. of Beacon and bask in all the little shops. As you near the railroad tracks and come closer to Hudson Valley Brewery, you’ll come across a little hole in the wall by the name of Village Jerk, specializing in Hot Sauces, leather goods, and other knick-knacks. I recommend taste-testing the array of hot sauces from mild to scorching and picking a few bottles to take home. The customer service and conversation around hot sauces and their many uses was informative and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Beautiful little shop with an amazing variety of jerked meats, hot sauces, hats, jewelry and more. Definitely a must-see for anyone. And the owner is an absolute sweetheart.
