Attended an event at the studio on Tuesday and it was amazing. The owners are wonderful, and I'm looking forward to returning for a class. This was my very first clay experience so try not to laugh too hard at my cup/bowl or and it was not intimidating. It was fun and definitely support this young small business. Looking forward to a glaze class.

My girlfriend was excited to bring me here for my birthday during a multi day road trip. She reserved a private time for us on Monday and received a confirmation email and a reconfirmation email. This was the last day of our trip and my gf was looking forward to doing this because I am not an artist and she is so wanted to have me experience this with her. At our scheduled time, the doors to the studio were locked and no one was inside. She called and got the owner, Dani, who said she don't have the rsvp, then said she would be right over. Strangely, she was already parked right outside the studio and says she happened to be there when she stepped out of the car, yet she said she would be right over? She was just sitting in her car all that time watching us or sleeping? We showed her the rsvp emails and she says initially that she didn't get it. Then she finds it and says it's for four (4) people. We confirmed it was for us two since our email says $120 which is $60x2. But the important part is she did have the rsvp info for our time. She asks if we can wait a few mins because she had to be at a meeting in 30 mins. We agreed. Then she came back asking if we can come back another time which we couldn't because we had dinner reservations later and I it was the end of our stay here. She said she would move her meeting time, but came back and said she couldn't do it anymore. No apology or offer to make it right.

What else would you do on 4/20, but go to a pottery class?! We had a blast with the wheel throwing class and it was our first time working with clay (the \\\"dinosaur\\\" I made in 1st grade doesn't count)! Rachel was an amazing instructor, guiding us the whole way through the process.... twice! We'll be back to glaze in a couple of weeks!

My fiancé and I had a cute date night and took a pottery class at Silica. It was so much fun! The entire studio has a great energy and filled with pieces from local artists, which I loved seeing. The owner Dani was so great. She has an amazing grounding energy which made the learning process fun but also relaxing. We made 2 bowls each, and left with a new love for pottery and a memorable experience. We can’t wait to do it again!

We had an amazing time with Dani for one of her weekend beginner pottery wheel classes! I definitely have a new appreciation for throwing clay. She makes such a fun and friendly atmosphere for beginners, it was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. We came from out of town and she will glaze and mail the pieces to us when they’re ready!

Just had my first experience on a pottery wheel at Silica Studio. Dani is an outstanding instructor, also the business owner. I learned an incredible amount in just my first class. It was so much fun and a very positive environment. Going back next week for my next class! If you are thinking you need a new hobby, this must be the place!
