As I am reading the above posting by Joe regarding Beacon Mobil Mart - if you parked your motorcycle anywhere on the Mobil Station property, whether out of the way or not - your primary intention should have been to do your business with the Station first - and then you could have done your quick walk to the Beacon Post Office - next door. You claim it was your intention to go to the Mart - but only after you stated this to the Police - otherwise you would have just gone to the Post Office and then hopped back on your bike. I have known the individual that runs Beacon Mobil Mart for well over twenty years - and he had every right to ask you to move your bike from his property - as you cannot park in anyone's business just for convenience to go somewhere else. There are many other people that do exactly the same - and the Station's parking is for the convenience of the customers who either purchase fuel or shop in the Mart. I will bet my bottom dollar that if you went into the Mart first, and then to the Post Office - he would not have tracked you and asked you to move your bike. He is probably the hardest working business individual in Beacon - and should not have to deal with people who park in his lot and go somewhere else. Would you let someone just park in your driveway at home, and go to your neighbor's house? Any questions please feel free to contact me:

Wish i could give it a 0 star, very unprofessional guy behind the register. Won’t be a repeat customer. Better spend my hard earned money some where else…

It’s a gas station. That’s what anyone would think; except, it isn’t just a gas station. We have 3 gas stations in town. I wouldn’t go to any other. And it’s got nothing to do with the store itself. Sure, it’s by far the cleanest gas station I’ve ever been in. (Major plus) But the number one reason I will go there. Is because of Shah. You know those cute towns in shows or movies, that you desperately wish you could visit, where everyone knows everyone, and everyone looks after everyone. This is Shah. 99% of the people that come into this gas station he knows them on a first name basis and every single one of those people leave happier than they came in, because of how Shah makes them feel. Shah is the epitome of what it means to be a good human being. He’s kind, funny, respectful and super hardworking, I don’t think the guy ever takes a day off. (Although he should he deserves one). It’s actually kind of poetic that he works here in beacon. Because I’d consider Shah, The beacon of beacon. He is the light and the sense of community that’s missing from other stores/places. He’s the light that makes this town shine. And he deserves recognition for it.If you see this: Thanks for all you do shah. We all absolutely love you & love coming to your gas station. ? see you in the morning !

Intended to go to the Mobil gas station on main st today as well as the post office. I parked my motorcycle completely out of the way, decided to go the post office first to drop off a package when the gas station worker comes barging into the post office saying I need to move my motorcycle the police are looking to tow it. Mind you, the only vehicle at the gas station at the moment was a police car taking up 3 spots. So I leave the post office with out mailing my package and speak to the police officer who tells me I have to move my bike, it’s private property I can be refused service and my vehicle can be towed. I explain I parked there because I planned to purchase a few items after the post office on my way to work. The officer said it doesn’t matter. I should’ve asked to park there first (which is something I never heard of, asking to park at a place where you intend to so business). Conversation wasn’t going anywhere, so I advised I will never purchase from there again and will tell everyone about my horrible experience there.

Staff here are not customer friendly, esp. The older guy. Their mannerism is horrible when dealing with some customers. They have who they are nice to. Their attitude to people of color or certain social standing they don't greet with a smile or rush out the store. I went there a few times over a year attitudes are nasty.
