“I came in without an appointment and was greeted right away. The staff was very friendly, and the environment was warm and welcoming (unlike many of the massive, chain banks). I was able to sit down with a service representative (shoutout to Tyler) who answered all my questions and helped me open the accounts I needed. There really aren't words to describe the difference in the level of service you get between a local credit union and at one of the massive banks. Tyler was very friendly and easy to talk to, and I was able to get me all the information I asked for and more. I had some issues with an account a few days later, which I tried to resolve on my own. I spent about 45 minutes calling several different MHVFCU help numbers before I just gave up and emailed the rep I worked with at this branch. I had emailed after-hours but by the time I checked my emails the next morning, I'd already received a reply and they'd sorted my issue out for me. I feel confident that I can go into this branch at any time, and would be able to get any questions and concerns addressed right away. 5/5 for service and timeliness.”
“I like this bank every one of Staff are friendly and helpful. They have Personal Tellers inside the bank and outside at the Drive-Thru. They have Manager named Ryan very friendly and helpful inside the bank and Eugene who is Newburgh Branch Manager. They have inside ATM also. I like the Branch Headquarters they are very good to their Members. When you make your payments on time and never late they recognize you with an Incentive. Like lowering your interest on your purchases for 6 months to 5.99. They send you Recognition letters that means a lot to a Member that they Acknowledge your efforts to make sure your payments you have with them are paid on time. I am happy I chose this bank and have been with them since February 17, 2016. They are located on NY - Rte 300 (Union Ave). Their Office Hrs 8:30am - 6pmMonday - Friday. Saturday 8:30am till2pm Closed Sunday.Right behind the Bank there is other stores to shop in like PetSmart, Kohl's ànd a shortcut right into Adam's Fair Acre Farm Grocery store. “HVCU provided me with the lowest interest rate and payments then anyone else could for my new car purchase loan. The minute I walked in I was greeted so nicely and made sure I got into my appointment quickly. Robin M. helped me with finalizing my loan and it was quick and easy. “Long term second review.I am just writing to follow up after about 3 years banking here.Previously I traveled and lived internationally a lot, banking with Chase.When I came home for good, Chase did a great job chasing me out the door ! with no free checking, some poor advice on choosing an account.We felt a local credit union could serve our needs better, and sooth some of the serious mistrust I have of the big five crime families ( The five big banks...Wells Fargo, Chase...Nearly three years later we are very happy with them.First of all, they put up with me !SeriouslyI am happy to say that as far as I recall none of the staff has changed, A few additions and all are very friendly and personable.You can get face to face interaction with a person at the ATM when the branch is closed if needed. I get much better online connection speeds.Some little hiccoughs when I have to do international stuff, but that is not their market.We have never considered changing banks.Thanks Julie and everybody else for an on going positive experience.Larry”

“This is a people centric bank Although the tellers change frequently the middle management and above is focused on the credit union members. That's what the customers of the bank are called. It seems people matter to this bank. Some things that I need they can't do, like foreign money transfers but they do 90% of what I need.”
