Brody has been coming to Jay now for over 9+ years now and get the best haircuts. I've always feel confident and comfortable with the service he gets here, never any bad haircuts or incidents with my pooch. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving my pet with him for attentive, compassionate care and great cuts.

Amazing groomer!! My dog always leaves happy and looking like a million bucks. The owner takes such great care of the dogs and clearly has a deep love for them. I recommend doggy street grooming to anyone looking for a reliable and ethical dog groomer. He always looks for up to date vaccinations too. 10/10!!
PS: If your dog has a problem of getting poop stuck in the fur on their butt just tell the owner. He will cut it perfectly so that stops happening

Been coming here since 5+ years ago. I highly recommend this place. The groomer (owner) has lots of knowledge in dogs and also provides excellent care for my dog. My dog is a sensitive dog, but after changing to this grooming shop, he is no longer sensitive after grooming. I also love the fact that this place doesn’t overbook any appointments, 1 dog at a time. So your dog never have to wait in a crate for a long time for their turn which can be extremely stressful. Once you go, you will see what I mean! :)

I've been going to Jay for years because he's the only groomer I've found who could groom my aggressive dog without him having to be sedated. I don't know how he does it but I will travel all the way from Brooklyn to Queens just to have my dog groomed at Doggy Street.

It's been almost a year since my poor baby was injured by doggy street and after some hesitation as we were in the process of suing I've decided the best route is to save others from mine and my babies horrible experience by telling our story. We had been going to doggy street for more than 5 years (loyal costumers). The last and final time we took our baby to be groomed we noticed her acting funny immediately in the car ride home and for the remainder of the day leading into next. We decided to observe her throughout the rest of the day she wouldn't eat and would have moments where she would yelp in pain. We took her to the vet immediately the next day to find out that her jaw had been broken and we rushed her to the hospital for emergency surgery. We called jay that day to explain that it obviously happened under his care and though we believed it to not be intentional that this was the purpose for insurance. We were very understanding when others would have not been and all we asked was for medical reimbursement. He basically told us that my dog is aggressive (my 5lb, 11 year old, no teeth Maltese) and that it didn't happen under his care. Mind you he has never told us our dog was problematic before. he basically said we could sue him and he wouldn't be reimbursing us. We did start the initial process of serving him papers but after finding out we were pregnant and in the process of purchasing our first home, we decided keeping up with this lawsuit was the least important of tasks & honestly just thinking about it gave me more anxiety then it was worth. He tried sending a video of the day she was groomed to prove his "innocence" but there was no audio which would be necessary to observe when she was hurt. We have moved on but feel like at the very least people should know what happened to us and make their own decision about using his services. I've since had to learn how to groom her on my own as we both have PTSD when it comes to dog grooming. We always had a great relationship with jay and would never place blame if we weren't absolutely certain that this happened under his care. We are sadden by his approach towards very loyal customers of many years and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.

I brought my puppy here two times and both times, my pup came out so much better than when she went in! I had a hard time seeing which groomer to trust my puppy with and I can proudly say, this groomer is it for us. He is not only a great groomer, he also takes the time to give any advice/tips to better take care of my pup. Most groomers give the dogs a sedative or something to keep it calm, however here they do not do that. Jay had so much patience for Nyla and still made both groomings amazing. Highly recommend!
