I had my hair cut three times here by Ashley. She’s a sweet girl but probably more confident with color than technical hair cuts. She cut my ear and the owner Chris basically acted like that shouldn’t be a big deal and told me to hold a paper towel on it until it stopped bleeding. The. He said that people who get “involved” with their hair cuts get bad hair cuts. Basically that you should shut up and like whatever is given to you. I found him extremely arrogant and pompous. I got two mediocre cuts and one bad one and I won’t be back.

Beware: My daughter went to Razing Hair to get her hair lightened, she brought in a picture of very light hair so they could see what she wanted. She unfortunately ended up with mousy brown, grey, mud colored hair. She also came home and all the dark dye was left all around her face and through her roots. She had to plead to have them try and fix it. When she went back they (mainly the owner Chris) were rude and short tempered with her. They even said if you just keep washing it, it will lighten up, which means they only used semi-permanent color. They did blow it out and she was hoping she could live with it, but the next day she was crying that they ruined her hair. I then tried calling the owner to discuss having my daughter get her money back, since she was charged $245 for them to destroy her hair. Chris not only was rude and sassy, to say the least, he hung up on me twice and when he finally calmed down and would talk and not scream at me, he said he is sure the only reason my daughter hated her hair was because I told her she looked terrible and then of course he hung up. Even though I was completely disgusted by his comments, I called Razing Hair back to try one more time to rationalize with Chris, but he wouldn't get on the phone, however, when he finally called me back he said he searched and found a picture of my daughter on social media that looked like she loved her hair after it was fixed and he also went on to say that if I continued to call him about this issue he would call my place of work and get me fired for harassment. After all this, the terrible job they did on my daughter's hair and the way we were both spoken to, Chris, the owner actually dared to threaten my livelihood just so he didn't have to do the right thing as a business owner and reimburse an 18 year old, so she could go somewhere else to get her hair fixed. He even continued to say that the last person who tried this he (Chris) actually made sure they got fired from their job. I am flabbergasted that he even has clients. If you want light blond hair, without muddy ash, then Razing Hair is not the place for you. There are numerous talented hairdressers in the towns around where they are located and I suggest you try those, so you can avoid such a horrible experience with a person like Chris, and you will also avoid having him threaten getting you fired from your job just because you are not satisfied with the job they do on your hair. The most ironic part is his website states that they have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed!! Guess that is a lie!!

I have been going to Razing Hair for several years .I started going after seeing people in the neighborhood with great haircuts and asking where they went .Chris the owner is a magician .I love sitting there watching him cut and style hair while I am getting my hair colored and I complement them on how great they look .Then it's my turn I am always satisfied I have very curly hair which is a challenge to cut .I am never disappointed in Chris's mastery .He is a genius in the haircutting world .So happy I found him The salon is beautiful and immaculate everyone who works there is lovely and very accommodating I wish I could give this little gem in Bayport 10 stars .Keep up the great work Chris it is such a pleasure going to your salon .

First this place is elegant. The staff are highly educated in their craft. My sister and I were treated like queens. We have had 2 visits so far for cut and color . Very satisfied

Amazing salon clean, professional, friendly staff. Chris the owner made me feel like I’ve known him for years. I’m converting from dark brown hair to grey and he gave me a treatment to ease the transition and make it less painful to look in the mirror. It involved numerous steps and a long day at the salon but it was worth every minute and dollar spent there! Thank you to Chris and Nicole for all of your effort I’m ecstatic with the results.I’ll be back for sure.

I could not recommend this place more. Mary and Nicole were amazing with my daughter who was having a difficult time with managing having her first haircut since social distancing (I know March) They totally stepped in and not only helped a very upset little girl but a very stressed momma. Fantastic experience all around.
