I have been banking with Chase for more than 3 decades. Back when you would walk into a bank, know the manager and tellers by name. Get greeted with a smile and when making any transaction be told if there is anything new or different to take advantage of or be warned about. The lack of customer service has depleted to a cold transfer of minimal communication even in personal banking transactions. They are closing banks and firing tellers for placement of "super ATMs". I had questions about an account I had gaining almost no interest at all and spoke with a "manager" and was told because I did not opt for additional sales and marketing they were not responsible for how my money was distributed in the bank. With only about 175K in accounts, the day of any personal touch or communications is gone and I should not expect it. I moved some cash from this branch to a different bank that serves me better to compare how they handled things and was told by the manager if I take 20K or more they would probably drop me as a member and report me, (and I am not sure to who exactly, maybe the banking police LOL) This was a direct fear tactic and caused me to move more than I originally expected to, and I chose to move over 1/2 of my money from this bank and distribute it to a few others who still have decent customer service.
Today I noticed additional fees and was told it was because I moved a significant amount leaving under 100K in the account. I called the branch and was told "That is what I get for taking out money from their accounts" and they were not responsible for letting me know as I was moving it to another bank. Then called the 800 line and was given the truth I needed to maintain 75K or better and dropped below that. The bank manager did not state this when I told him I was moving the money from the account. I know the day of personal banking is long gone. When you would walk in and be greeted by name and the teller let you know if there was anything new or changing with your account. The days of seeing your child growing and suggesting a youth account or starting a savings fund. All of this is gone but do not believe it is too much to ask when a member specifically asks the only answer is "I cannot tell you because you did not opt to have us personally handle your account and savings" Today I get more from online banking institutions and far more support without the attitude and threats.
I know this will not change anything but venting experiences has a cleansing effect. It is sad where we are going here and we all need to choose what works best for us in our specific situations and for me Chase has shown me more than once, they are just not the answer for me anymore

The bank teller Lisamarie was very unprofessional. I came into the bank with a request and she was very rude and unwelcoming. As I’m speaking to her she’s was raising her voice not even letting me explain the reason for my visit. Then became arrogant. When she couldn’t figure out what department to call as I was trying to inform her she then asked me for the information needed to process my request. When I asked for her name her attitude changed! I was embarrassed and have never been treated like this at a chase branch until I came to this Bayport location. As a chase client for over 20 years I have several accounts including several business accounts I am truly disappointed I will never return here again! This experience was unacceptable.

Excellent Service I needed to open an acct Dec 26 & have a regular debit card expedited. I was closing an acct at TD and dislike their fees, and how they examine deposits & Bounce your acct. At CHASE- Kaitlin was so patient, and explained the differences, how to take advantage of additional services, and reduced checking. Their online banking is MUCH clearer and easier to navigate; their banking statements so much easier to understand. I work in the world of Ecomm & my company is bound by the same PCI regs as a bank- and let me tell you- SWITCH your bank..I should have done this a LONG time ago..Thank You Kaitlin & your Baby on the way!

The absolute worse service I've ever had at a bank I suffered a traumatic brain injury 6 years ago and every time I go into this bank they chastise me as being lazy for not filling out the forms. It's disgusting.

The manager there Lisamarie, I believe that's her name, hands down provides the best customer service I've ever experienced. I worked at a store for about 1.5 years that banked with them and she is honestly the most helpful and nice people I have ever dealt with. I really hope chase bank pays her well because she really knows how to make customers happy and bring in clientele!
