I'm a regular customer in this post office. Staff is always helpful and know them by first names. This women that helped me on monday was by far the worst customer service I've ever had I came in there with a prepaid package and asked to make sure the postage was enough to send off. Her reply was I won't know until I weigh it but I know it's definitely way more then what you have on there. I said ok, how much then..she said this is well over ten dollars and I'm not excepting this packaged the way it is so you will have to pay 100% out of cash. A question why since I had already paid almost $4 and she said it doesn't work that way and I can't even accept this envelope so you will have to come back with something different Got on her cell phone and didn't say goodbye. I was not able to send off my package due to her not willing to help then I bring it to my post office by my house the clerk said right away of course we can take it you just have a balance of $4 to add to this Postage and I was able to keep the original package. She was so incredibly rude and completely misinformed. I believe she was of Indian descent as I had never seen her there before and the reason why I am stating her nationality is not for anything but the fact that she needs to be spoken to by the manager and needs to be told she lost a customer due to her ignorance and zero knowledge of her job.I will not be back

Worst experience I've had with usps. Everytime I call different offices I get the nicest people. There's a guy named Mike here who was so disrespectful and rude to me. I was told to call this office to answer a question I had so I did. As soon as I said I have a question about a package and was told to call here he started yelling at me and wouldn't let me speak. Kept yelling to call another office because they don't handle deliveries. I can understand that but I never even told him my question and told him I was told to call here for this question specifically. He said he doesn't care and to call another office and kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me speak. He then hung up. He should not work there if this how he's going to treat people.

My family and I moved to Bay Shore 4 years ago, we've met a lot of friendly people but the BEST of all was our postman "Craig" he's professional and courteous, always has a charming smile, and most of all handles our package and mail with care. We've had other post people in between and they some times they'll put our mail in someone else mailbox, and I've found other people's mail in our mailbox... But with Craig I got my mail. He occasionally stops and play with my dogs, Craig has a huge heart great personality. You can tell he enjoys his job, Bay Shore Post Office is blessed the have a worker like Craig. Thank you Craig you're the best!

I don't know who did it but someone who work here delivered my package instead of putting it at my door like a normal person he threw it against the dam door

Isn't any body responsible?There is not any person who answers the calls ?I has called more than 50 times and faced by an answering machine which is really complicated system .

A RACIST MAN NAMED FRANK ( a short Caucasian man with a big cross on his chest named). They moved him to 5th ave on Bay Shore. I went to send an envelope and I paid for priority delivery and my surprised was that he places the envelope on the side instead of the box that was for rush delivery. I realize right there that this man was a racist since I saw the service he gave to a woman( Irish descendent) in front of me and the Caucasian man after me. I had to ask him for the envelope, however, he did not want to give it back.

Horrible experience! One employee to service countless customers, totally insane. I would recommend the closing of this facility, not because of the employees themselves, but the lack of concern on behalf of the USPS.

The counter person at this location was a very pleasant person. I just came in to mail a package and he was kind enough to explain the process without any attitude or being rude. I don't know about the prior reviews but I guess you get the energy you put out

This new mail person on Brookdale Ave is the laziest I've seen since living here. She will not walk up my driveway to deliver my mail. She unfortunately is Not our normal mail person, who is a male Hispanic driver and is very polite and efficient. Laziness is not a qualification for a mail deliverer.
