I went in on Christmas Eve looking for something different and amazing and I found it!! I was so happy to meet Laura . She was extremely helpful and made my day. I can’t say enough good things about her.

Nice mixture of vintage and antiques. Reasonably priced but nothing grabbed my attention while I was in.

A fabulous store to get lost in for a while. Weaving through a maze of crystal ware, handkerchiefs, postcards and oh-so-lovely vintage hats adorned with lace and feathers. Scanning the shelves high and low for hidden treasures. Just when you think you saw it all and meander towards the door, you spy another little cranny. It houses some little gem sparkling ever so slightly. Could it be a flower teacup, or perhaps a vintage fringe purse? There is a "little of this" and a "little of that" for everyone's something special. Prices are generally fair, though random things do seem a bit high-a teensy barrette I purchased was $5. Regardless, it's worth it to support such a wonderful place that I make a point to stop and enjoy. Make sure to head next door afterwards and try the organic tea at Whistling Tea Kettle. I just tried one of their pumpkin flavored teas and it was good to the last drop!

We dropped in here just to see. Not a big selection of antiques. A lot of dry goods, being ladies selections. But in the glass case were two vintage purses that were priced at 1/2 of the normal price we've experienced and bought at. We bought two. A Winner here. You will find your bargains.

Cute little antique shop with a decent selection of antique/vintage apparel, linens, sewing items, and jewelry. There are also some antique kitchen items including Pyrex and Fiestaware.

I've loved this shop for years, I've been going for a while now either with my mother or on my own. Both of us have bought a considerable amount each and every time we go. Until now I've had nothing but great experiences here, as i love their selection and the prices are generally very fair. However, i had an unpleasant experience here last week that i haven't been able to shake. I brought two friends with me who were visiting from out of town, and i was super excited to show them all of the wonderful antique shops that i always tell them about in Ballston spa. Daisy dry goods was our very first stop, and before we went in i raved about how it was one of my favorites. We looked around for a little while, and i had a small pile started on the counter, something I've done many times before. Towards the end, i found a few little spoons & butter knives i liked, and all but one of the butter knives had a price tag (and of course, it was the one i liked the most). So, given the fact that i work in retail, i simply looked through the rest and examined each for their prices and looked for any size discrepancies that would make one more expensive than the other. All of the pieces were marked at $3, so i figured the one i was looking at would be either 3 or maybe 4, considering it was a little more detailed. So i made note of that, and went up to the counter to check out. I passed on this info and showed her which one i was talking about. She did not believe me. She questioned me several times over, so i went back to the display and brought her another that was the same size to show her that i wasn't trying to pull a fast one on her or anything. She still continued to question me. Over a $3 butter knife. Despite the hundreds I've spent over the last 3 years alone. So i offered to go and grab the rest of the display to prove to her that i still was not lying, and after she hinted at going to get another woman working there, she decided she finally believed me. Then, there was another $3 glass that i decided i wasn't going to get, and she looked at me with such an angry look on her face, saying "i already wrote it down though" and i said i apologized and said if it was too late it was alright and i would just take it, but she heavily sighed and then amazingly, simply crossed it out- meaning it actually wasn't too late and she just didn't want to pick up her pen. I just wanted to get out of there, and i could tell my friends were getting uncomfortable too. In an effort to move things along i started putting the smaller things i had purchased in the bag i was carrying that day. She looked at me, again with that angry look on her face, and insisted that i took a bag. I replied that it wasn't that big of a deal to me, as it was just those few spoons and that i would just need a bag for the bigger items i got. I've never received such dirty looks from anyone in any store, for seemingly no reason. All i can say is that i realize that my friends and i are younger people (we're in our 20's) and that one would assume that younger people would cause trouble (??? I guess??) in shops like this, but i know that woman recognizes me. Like I've said, I've spent a lot of money here over the last few years. My mom is an avid fiesta collector and almost always goes to this shop for her pieces. It's extremely disappointing that one would assume based off age how we deserve to be treated. If i were older and running an antique shop i would be delighted to see younger people interested in the wonderful things these shops have to offer, i wouldn't be hostile towards them because i think they're swindling me for a $3 butter knife. I can't lie and say i won't be back here, because i love this shop that much. I just hope you read this and think twice about how you treat younger customers, especially those that have shown such loyalty to you over the years.

Stopped in to Daisy dry goods after being told by a friend that she would look at somethings I had and possibly buy them too. When I first walked in I talked to an employee who was very nice. She told me that I would have to talk with the owner about anything I had but the owner was on the phone and I would have to wait. After waiting for her to finsh up her personal call right behind the counter, I told her why I was there and she was quick to say she wasn't interested. After talking a little more she wanted me to show her some jewelry I had so I did so. I was very honest with her about my knowledge of the items I had. She picked out a few things she had liked but would not give me a price of what she thought they where worth, what she would buy them for or what a simular item would go for in her own store. She told me someone else does her pricing which is fine but when I asked if there was any way I could chat with "the pricing lady" because I wasn't looking for retail value for the items but also wasn't looking to get taken advantage of she quickly dismissed me and told me to come back when I had prices. I do not deal with antiques often and was looking for some help. It seemed like she didn't want to help me become more informed about my own items so she couldn't take advantage of me. The items in the store looked nice and reasonably priced. It may be a nice place to shop. But I can not speak for that because I have not been on that end of the "daisy dry goods" experiance yet. As far as the selling experiance. I don't think I'd try it again. I prefer a more friendly approach when doing business.
