(I know a lil long)My boy patch got real sick. I called to make an emergency visit. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to get him in until the following week. This was unacceptable to me as my Patch(aka bubba) was not himself. I decided to wait until the following week. However, I called the very next day and tried to get him in again because my bubba seemed to get a lil worse. This time I was lucky. You took him in right away. Did some test. Made him feel right at home even though he is a lil (ill say) over protective, lol. Found out he had lyme disease and Im prob butchering this but, altaplasmosis. You gave him a script and within 3 days I saw a HUGE improvement. Was more mobile and his personality was coming back. The bill was a little high and I did not have enough to pay. You took half and let me pay the other half the following week.Thank you so much for treating him at no notice or an appointment made. You guys are great!!

We were clients there for over 5 years. The quality of care has really gone downhill. The lack of communication between vets and staff is VERY concerning. Waiting in the waiting room an hour past your scheduled appointment time is VERY common as well. Surgically they have always done well by our pets I have to say. But after our pup catching kennel cough from her last surgery there, bringing it home to our other pets, and then not having VCA even call me back regarding KC treatment for my 3 senior dogs who were not handling it very well, was the last straw for us and we ended up switching veterinary practice. I feel that they have taken on way more clients than they can handle.

We brought our dog there for his entire life, spent thousands of dollars there. Our dog came down with mast cell tumor on his paw. We spent a pretty penny trying to save him. When I called crying for help for our dog after he chewed at his tumor, we were told to go elsewhere because they were busy. We ended up having to put our dog down at an emergency vet. I find it disheartening that after 10+ years of my dog going there, that this is how he was treated. Zero compassion, zero care that he was in need to be seen by HIS doctors and team. People who knew what was going on with him and knew his background. They're decent vets for your dogs current yearly physicals but the way they turned him away at his biggest time of need is really disheartening. I don't recommend this vet if you're looking for one who will truly care about the well-being of your fur baby at ALL stages of their life. They failed my little guy.

I am from CA and am visiting family in NY with my dog. Unfortunately, my dog became rather ill while in town and required an urgent vet visit. VCA was able to squeeze us in within a few hours of calling, which I was so grateful for. My dog HATES going to the vet and can be super difficult to handle, but the whole team was super patient and gentle with her and took their time to help her feel comfortable. They were very thorough and even got us in again the next day when her symptoms hadn't improved. Additionally, I was surprised by the total cost- much cheaper than what I'm used to in CA, so that was a pleasant surprise. Thanks for taking such good care of Frida!

We took our kitten to this office on a Sunday. Our regular vet isn't open on Sundays. The staff is exceptional from the Dr, vet techs, to the front desk. Very professional , friendly and treated us with compassion. Thank you for your service

If I could give zero stars I would. As a client to VCA Ballston Spa for years, and paying out thousands of dollars to them over those years, suddenly in a desperate time of need to help my suffering cat, I was very coldly and disrespectfully told I was not allowed there anymore and they would not see my cat due to an unpaid amount of $20 I was NEVER contacted for at ANY POINT.I've paid thousands to this evil place, why would I not have paid $20 if I was aware of it?I begged and pleaded to pay it so I could get my cat seen immediately but I was still coldly told they would still not see my cat even if I did pay it. I was then transferred by phone to a line that was disconnected.I was willing to pay double or triple the measly $20 debt that again, they never contacted me for at any point.VCA Ballston Spa refused to work with me a desperate cat mom trying to help her family member. They chose GREED over the welfare of an animal. 20 fucking dollars. Don't put your pets well being in the hands of a company that will refuse you service over THEIR OWN mistakes and treat you like a criminal for it.**edit in reply to the comment from Ballston Spa Vet**Wrong. Very wrong. This reply couldn't be more inaccurate, misleading and ignoring the issue at hand.I fully understand any clinic not being able to fit me in at end of day. I've owned pets my entire life. I know how it works. HOWEVER. This isn't about not getting a same-day appointment (although I know there are emergency slots available because I've made one or two in the past and half the reason I chose this clinic for my cats to begin with but I digress)I was told, with the coldest most uncaring voice that I WOULD NOT BE ACCOMMODATED ANY LONGER AT THIS CLINIC FOR ANY APPOINTMENT IN THE FUTURE *BECAUSE* of a non-payment of $20 on my account I was never told of at any point. Nevermind the thousands I've paid. Money has never been an issue when it comes to my cats care. But shaming and banning an established client ALL TOGETHER over $20 is disgusting of your practice. Do better.

In the worst situation possible of having to put down our cocker spaniel who was close to 17 years old, the vet Dr Smith and the vet tech could not have made the situation more peaceful. We are so thankful our buddy was comfortable and the experience made us even more at peace. Thank you, Dr Smith.

We had nice experiences when bringing our pup here. They typically leave appointments available for the same day in case you have a concern come up and want it addressed quickly. Responsive and informative when it’s needed.

We’ve had great experiences so far with this office. One of our dogs is extremely anxious… I mean EXTREMELY…. and Dr Smith and the vet tech handled it with such compassion and grace. They proposed plans to improve her care and made us feel very welcome at their clinic.

Okay vet but seems like they try to cut corners and overcharge for basic things. No communication and want to try to blame me when their staff misadvised. Pretty sure I got charged twice but whatever. My dog is listed under my moms name and they won't change it to my information without her consent- like she hasn't taken him to an appointment in years yet they won't just put me on to help eliminate any other issues or concerns. They don't answer the phone or book you in a timely manner. It's unfortunate because it seems my dog is taken care of here but their other issues will push me away.
