Subject: Complaint Regarding Mail Delivery Issues
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the ongoing issues with mail delivery from the Baldwin Post Office located at 2260 Grand Ave, Baldwin, NY 11510-3162. Despite several attempts to resolve these problems through direct communication, the service has not improved.
The issues we have encountered include:
Incorrect Mail Delivery: Our mail carrier frequently delivers other people's mail to our address and vice versa. This has been a consistent problem, causing significant inconvenience.
Unhelpful Mail Carriers: When asked to take back incorrectly delivered mail, the carriers instruct us to bring it to the post office ourselves. This response is unacceptable, as it is their responsibility to ensure correct delivery.
Lack of Action from Management: I have spoken to the postmaster at this location multiple times, but the situation remains unchanged. The standard responses include excuses about staffing shortages or the need for new carriers to learn their routes, neither of which address the immediate issue.
It is clear that these issues stem from a lack of attention and care from the employees at this location. As a customer, I expect reliable service and a professional attitude from postal workers. The ongoing problems reflect poorly on the USPS and create unnecessary frustration for the community.
I urge you to take immediate action to address these concerns. Ensuring proper training for new carriers and holding existing staff accountable for their duties would be a good start. The community relies on the post office for dependable mail delivery, and it is imperative that these standards are met.
I look forward to seeing improvements in the very near future.

I come here to drop my packages so the people can scan them. I usually have a lot so i guess one of the ladys got fed up and didn’t want to scan my packages. first off, ma’am your PAID to work there all your doing is scanning the packages!! HORRIBLE customer service i would give it a 0 if i could but its whatever.

The people at all USPS locations only care about one thing...fulfilling the promise of getting your mail to it's proper destination in a timely fashion!

They have stolen my mom's packages twice and laughed in her face when she went to confront them. The man in charge even went as far to say that he walked down the block with the carrier to deliver the package. Now my package went missing, I've had enough!

2 of my letters came back and there is no reason they should have. They both have correct postage and correct addresses. Now that I'm here, I have something else to say. The tough looking woman is never pleasant. Whenever you bring letters and you need stamps for them, for some reason, she insists on you putting the stamps yourself instead of just stamping it. She always seems annoyed or irritated. Hope she retiressoon.

In addition to them losing my reservation for an appointment that I had booked two weeks prior, telling me I wasn't on their list even though I had a confirmation, the staff at this location is not familiar with the requirements for renewing a passport, and as someone else posted,, they get angry at you if you tell them you don't have a driver's license. So the next day, I went to the Lynbrook Post Office as a walk-in, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes.

Lost my damn CERTIFIED letter and then wouldn't even give the tracking information. If you need to keep your information safe avoid this location!

They are usually helpful and pleasant. There is one employee who was not so friendly but did resolve my issue at the time. Mostly a good experience there.
