If you're looking to place your child in a safe, supportive, clean, and stimulating environment for learning Lightbridge Academy is the place to be hands down! My son had a wonderful experience, and it was worth the money/investment. He not only got a great head-start educationally & socially, but also helped eased him into elementary school. I highly recommend Lightbridge of Baldwin!

I've been sending my baby girl there for almost a month and I am very pleased with the care and love that my child has been receiving from Ms. Gabby (her teacher) and all of the staff! As a first time mom, I was very anxious the first week, but the directors and staff (esp. Ms. Gabby) has embraced her like their own so the anxiety was very short lived. The directors and staff have been very accommodating to addressing all of my concerns in a timely manner. I love the frequent pictures and updates, but I especially love the live cameras. The facility is clean and warm! Safety is a priority!! Now, my girl smiles and waves and no longer cries at drop off! My heart is full of joy and my mind is at peace with this daycare!

My daughter has been attending Lightbridge Academy since she was nine months old, she recently graduated and will be going to kindergarten in September. I am very grateful for the wonderful care they have provided over the past four years. The staff have been an integral part of her many milestones such as walking, talking, potty training, writing and detaching from her pacifier. I very thankful for the exceptional experience and would definitely recommend Lightbridge Academy to other families.

I am regularly impressed with the education and social growth my child displays. From intensely shy and struggling with communication to expressing/communicating in a variety of ways (sign language, vocal communication, etc). The comfort and sense of belonging has helped to foster an interest in socializing.Communication and coordination between staff and parents is a breeze, in fact the staff seem eager to establish a rapport. Every member of the staff from the director to teachers, to assistants share/take a genuine interest in nurturing the children. It's become an integral part of my child's day, so much so that they find personal enjoyment in attending. Its influence has been a great help to us.

My son has been going to Lightbridge since he was 7 months old and it was by far the best choice my husband and I made. The staff is wonderful and has supported us tremendously over the past 3 years including always being flexible during my husbands deployment. Ms Debbie and Ms Jo are the directors and are both wonderful. They are always available for any questions as well there to greet students and family as soon as you enter. During his time there he has had Ms. Rose, who was always nurturing and caring; Ms. Gabby who was supportive during his "terrible 2s" and potty training and Ms Emily and Ms Dominique who have ensured he is constantly reaching all his milestones and allowing him to be his playful robust self. As an educator and instructional coach for elementary schools I know how important these foundational skills are and will be eternally grateful for all the work Lightbridge has done for my family. If you are looking for a place where you will see your child develop skills and social/emotional tools needed before starting primary school I highly recommend here !

Transparency, professionalism and exponential knowledge are just a few things that I love about Lightbridge Academy in Baldwin. The infrastructure set up by corporate is facilitated nicely by a competent and knowledgeable staff. The cameras gives any parent an ease of mind and fosters trust and accountability. The cherry on top is a strong administration led by Ms. Debbie and Ms. Joanne. They are highly involved in the day to day operations as well as running the office; this is amazing. My child’s teacher Ms. Gabby is spectacular. I have an educational background in child development psychology, and I sat back and watched the operation from day one; I can attest that the leadership of the branch really knows what they’re doing and it trickles down to the staff. Ms. Debbie did an excellent job orientating us and has been very consistent with her level of courtesy and professionalism. At the drop of a dime she stops the important tasks she is doing to have a listening ear to parents concerns. Ms. Debbie’s vast experience and knowledge in the field is a tremendous benefit to the business; and I’m glad she is on staff. Ms. Joanne goes above and beyond to handle any clerical issues that we face, her response time is lightning quick, and she’s always glad to lend a helping hand. My son’s teacher Ms. Gabby responds to any direct message right away; and gives key feedback about the development and progress of my child in a very considerate and timely fashion. The technology offered is very interactive. Thank you Lightbridge Academy in Baldwin for all you do, it’s definitely appreciated.

Leaving your kids at daycare for the first time is one of the scariest feelings you ever have. When I left my son the first time I didn’t know what to expect. He never cried once and that was 7 months ago. His speech words sentences are beyond belief. They have a daily activities and great teachers. I always believed being a teacher is the most underrated job in the world and what lightbridge accomplish is amazing. The staff is amazing from miss gabby (his teacher) and the directors miss Joanne and miss Debbie. ❤️

I love how the teachers know my son so well. Ever since he started at six months he has loved to go to daycare. The colorful and educational bulletin boards and Dr. Seuss quotes that line the halls are wonderful as well. I’m addition, they change him, feed him, and sing/dance/read in a timely fashion so he is never left wanting or unattended. Lastly, they send home a daily ledger of his changes, naps, and feedings which are so helpful and reassuring.

Our child is thriving at this school and I cannot recommend it enough. The teachers are all super friendly and they really care. This is obvious from the top down. Every day our child comes home with new words/phrases/sign language etc... all things that we have not taught her at home.I think they handle COVID masterfully - the school from the outside seems immaculate. There was a case where one of our daughter's teachers did in fact test positive. While we have to keep her home, we are relieved that the precautions the school takes yielded no other negative tests for other teachers/kids/their families. I felt very much in the loop about what was going on and they did a great job communicating with us the details.Anyone shopping around for a daycare, look no farther!

Absolutely thrilled with Lightbridge Academy in Baldwin. My son is currently enrolled in their preschool program. So far, it's been a wonderful experience! Under the guidance of his amazing teachers, he is growing and thriving in a structured environment. Look forward to starting a new, enriching curriculum for PreK in September. It's very important to recognize the dedicated staff of school administrators and teachers who went above and beyond the call of duty. Throughout COVID-19, Lightbridge worked tirelessly to provide our community with a clean, safe and healthy environment. Once again, Lightbridge Academy in Baldwin has demonstrated its unwavering commitment and support for early childhood education.Lastly, I have to say the communication efforts and updates from both the Director and Assistant Director are greatly appreciated from my end. Not to mention, they're incredibly attentive and responsive 24/7. I truly value this high level of customer service as a parent.Additional comments and feedback:* Recently introduced Moment Path app for parents to stay connected. No longer using Tadpoles.* Due to COVID, school lunches were not provided last year (including nomorning or afternoon snack). Parents are currently responsible forpacking lunch, snacks, etc.* Large outdoor playground with a variety of fun activities, includingSprinkler Days in July/August.* Parent teacher conferences available upon request.RATING: 5+ stars

My daughter attended Lightbridge Academy for two years.Pros: Some of the teachers are great! The facility is very clean. Joann in the office is lovely.Cons: There were NUMEROUS occasions where the classroom was over capacity according to NYS rules. I reached out to the main office with this issue but it persisted. I reached out to the state but received little support. I reached out to Lightbridge corporate because this is a REAL safety concern, and they were receptive but the issue did not get resolved. Students would be shuffled in and out of classrooms and would often be put with teachers or students they did not know to try to even out numbers of students. I went to drop off my daughter in her classroom one day and there were 15 students in the room. My daughter would have been the 16th student, in a room that is supposed to have no more than 12 students (we went home and I called in sick to work). The teacher was literally crying and felt powerless and upset that management would put her in this unsafe position in violation of state rules and guidelines. There were times where I would go to pick up my daughter and no one could tell me even which classroom she was in because she had been shuffled around so many times. Ultimately, our safety concerns were not addressed so we left the facility and sent our daughter elsewhere.Edit 3/16/20 The owner of this business replied that they could not find an account associated with my name to try to delegitimize the review that I left. The email address associated with this review received invoices from Lightbridge for two years (2017-2018) as well as tadpoles reports. If you cannot find an account associated with this name, that is a reflection of your poor record keeping. The owner of this business also replied that I should call directly to discuss feedback. I gave this feedback DIRECTLY to the main office and corporate multiple times before pulling my daughter from the school. I will not be following up again. After multiple chances to address the safety concern, the issue was not rectified so I made the decision to remove my daughter.

I toured Lightbridge Academy a few weeks ago, and absolutely fell in love with it. The director Debbie is extremely kind and communicative. I hope my daughter can enroll here soon.
