The store is convenient and the new remodel looks great. However you've got to address your deceptive pricing. Far too many times I've checked out and been charged a higher price than advertised. I keep having to point this out and you've probably been overcharging me for quite some time until I started to pay attention. Go check the price on item 4090, fresh spinach. Advertised at $1.99, rings up at $2.49 and I could give many more examples. Once I had to come back after getting home and realizing that I was overcharged by $6 on three items. When I went to customer service they seemed familiar with this and it seemed that this was out of their hands. Customers should be able to trust that the advertised prices are what we will be charged and I don't want to have to check that every single item rings up properly. Please correct this. Thanks.

Subject: Complaint about GalaFresh Farms in BaldwinDear Management,I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the experience I have had at your Baldwin location of GalaFresh Farms. My recent visits have left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. There are several issues that I feel compelled to address:Hostile Atmosphere: One of the first things I noticed upon entering your establishment is the lack of welcoming atmosphere. Not a single smile greets customers; instead, there is an overwhelming sense of negativity, with staff members displaying nothing but bad attitudes.Misleading Pricing: Despite advertised sale prices, I have repeatedly encountered discrepancies between the advertised prices and what I am actually charged at the register. This inconsistency is not only frustrating but also deceptive to customers.Unequal Treatment: Perhaps the most disturbing incident occurred during my last visit when I witnessed blatant favoritism towards certain customers. While four of us were patiently waiting in line to pay for our purchases, a woman suddenly demanded that a new register be opened for her. Rather than being asked to wait her turn like the rest of us, she threatened to call the manager, and immediately, a staff member who had been idly wandering around rushed to serve her. This clear display of privilege is unacceptable and deeply troubling.I refuse to patronize a business that condones such discriminatory practices. Everyone, regardless of their race, color, or any other characteristic, deserves to be treated with respect and equality. It is evident that at Galafresh Farms in Baldwin, some customers are treated as more valuable than others, and I refuse to support a company that perpetuates such inequality.As a result of these experiences, I have made the decision to take my business elsewhere. I refuse to subject myself to the kind of mistreatment and disrespect that I have encountered at your establishment. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and implement changes to ensure that all customers are treated fairly and equally in the future.

My sister decided she wanted to purchase Italian sausage and she did. What horrible sausage a brand I believe was Teresa's or deans something to that affect. I wouldn't bring that product to any supermarket?. Don't buy!!

Always fully stocked and clean. Prices are better than another popular supermarket. The employees are friendly too.

This place is very clean! Always smells clean. Everything is very organized. Produce section is great, if you want fresh groceries this is a great place to go , otherwise this place doesn’t ever really have any sales going on so a lot of stuff here is more expensive then other supermarkets !!

The staff backed a racist action in the establishment it’s Christmas Eve the attendant had the nerves to say to me I’m lucky she gave me a free shopping bag is that what it’s call to be black lucky‼️‼️‼️ The manger took a racist stand against a black costumer myself for a employee that was tired I guess Long day for her maybe even don’t like blacks the level of treatment leads me to believe color played a big roll on how she properly cashed me out at check out‼️ As a black mother of Latino kids I am out raged by the level of treatment I received today 12/24/2023 at this Gala supermarket in Baldwin I would never want to shop with that experience I received

The store is very good you can find anything .Only my complain is their computer make mistake all the time.Everytime I go I have to go back again for correction.They have to pay more attention.

My favorite supermarket! Ruby is one of the best. She always has a smile and is friendly and has even offered to try to special order items for me that the store doesn’t carry. The managers and the rest of the staff are all so helpful and friendly and knowledgeable about the inventory. The store is always clean and well organized. Rob at the Hooked Seafood Market inside always has a wide selection of fresh fish on display and he’s even happy to special order anything you need.

I asked a phenomenal employee named, Ruby at the Baldwin location and she went above and beyond to help me with the simplest thing. First I asked her for Texas Pete hot sauce because I only saw the wing sauce, she walked over with me and checked tags, then she put it in the phone and told me they can probably order it. Secondly, I told her I bought Allegro Marinade Sauce there before and bought all the bottles and I haven’t seen it since. She put that down and on her phone to look it up! After that had me write my name and phone number down to contact me about my 2 item!? Who does that nowadays in the retail business??♀️ Love her for that and the reason for the lengthy google review is just the amount of time she took to help! Excellent employee!

A wonderful food store, helpful staff, great products, great quality. It's my favorite supermarket in the area, great ethnic variety too that a lot of other local stores don't have.

Worst experience. All the bread was moldy no one smiles or sais hello nothing but attitude. I honestly don't know how this store is still in business. Never shopping here again. Big disgrace. If you want a nice shopping experience definitely go elsewhere. Dust on items in the aisle workers on their phones manager has the worst attitude. You should be ashamed. Completely gross.

I am a 74-year-old local lady and a frequent shopper at Gala on Grand Avenue in Baldwin. First and foremost I would like to compliment your staff in particular Marissa. I've recently undergone surgery and Marissa's kindness and consideration was above reproach. In addition to Marissa each and every staff member in that particular store is always pleasant and consistently most helpful in assisting me. I find prices slightly higher. But it is well worth the experience. Thank you

Horrible place to get your grocery. The people staffs are so rude special the big fat manager, she doesn’t know how to even talk to the clients.
