I don't know where to start...
I have been looking for a car with manual transmission for over six months since my old fateful FIAT 500 got totaled during the flood back in September 2023. While looking I had 2020 Acura ILX (with only 12K miles on it) which I hated with passion because of all the new hi-tech features and mostly because I had to maintain it trough the dealership.
One day last week I was visiting a friend in the area and on the way back I stumbled at Izzi's place - and there it was, a 2013 Subaru Impreza with stick shift in a fair condition for the price. Long story short - by the end of the day I was the new owner of the car.
...while test driving the car it started to rain so I couldn't really hear any noise at low speed. The next day when I came with the new license plates to pick up my new vehicle immediately as I stepped on the road a whining noise appeared - coming from the transmission which persisted with increasing the speed. Also 3-th gear was "kicking back" under load. Once I got home ~ 30 miles away I called Izzi and told him the story... He apologized and told me that he will do whatever it takes to make me happy.
What a gentleman - one in a million !
The next day I drove the car back to his place and left it there for full service. Izzi is about to put new transmission, new CV axle, new radio, PCV valve kit and new pair of windshield wipers at zero cost for me. He even offered to drive me home the day I left the car!
I have never met or thought that a car salesman like Izzi still exist !
If I lived closer I will use his service for maintenance and repairs - it's very nice to know that your car is in the right place when you need even just an oil change.
We live in a world of fraudsters and hyenas when it comes to cars sales and repairs... and thank God for people like Izzi - there is still hope!
My car will be ready in the next few days and I have no patience to drive it home on it's new tires and so on...life is good !

Izzy treats you like family! He keeps an open line of communication at all times and explains to you what's urgent and what can be held off to save you money when it actually counts. He works with you every step of the way and doesn't push you out to get the next vehicle in. From personal experience; he rectified a lot; if not, all of problems, trivial or not, to both of my vehicles and one of them being a 20 year old vehicle. He's a pleasure to do business with and I will continue to drive from Long Island to go see him. Thank you for all you do Izzy!!

Isi was able to obtain parts that local dealers as well as Ram cooperate were unable to help me find. He obtained the parts, did some testing and found out I didn't need all the part recommended by dealership and performed the work timely. I highly recommend Shrub Oak Auto Services to anyone who is looking for fairly priced excellent work.

I've gone to Izzi's shop since moving to the Mahopac area and every time I leave, I'm a happy customer! Not only is Izzi knowledgeable, but very kind and I have not had an issue of getting in for an appointment when I need one. The work that gets done is always done well and in a timely manner. Really worth bringing your vehicle here for repairs!

I've trusted Shrub Oak Auto for over 10 years with my cars. They're honest, provide quality parts, stand by their work, at reasonable prices, and importantly available to answer any of my questions. I do not live close anymore to their location but, still reach out to Izzy for any questions regarding my car and helpful even if he's not able to get my car for work.

If I could give this place more stars I would! This is such a gem in the Mahopac area!!! Cannot recommend this place enough. Izzi is wonderful, helpful, and honest. The work that gets done is quick and done well! Easy to get your car in, questions always answered, and quality turnout. Don’t bother going to another spot, this is where you should go for any car repairs \\u0026 maintenance!

Great trustworthy service at very reasonable prices. I've had everything done from oil changes to a full engine replacement over 18 years and no complaints. The owner Issie is a great guy. I would definitely recommend Shrub Oak Auto.
