Why would anyone gives this place a poor review? While I was there they were practically bending over backwards to help out a customer. You may or may not find what you are looking for here, but it's worth a stop. Unlike the big box stores they know what they are doing and if they don't they let you know.

I used the shop to transfer a firearm. The owner was very friendly and helpful in explaining the process. The transfer fee was reasonable and the shop is awash in interesting firearms and accessories. Definitely worth stopping in if you are looking for a new or used firearm or accessories.

called this shop for months to get a scope mounted. and was told he was to busy to take it, try back in 3 months well ,and that he worked all alone . it took nine months before i could drop it off. when i did he tried his best to show me how knowledgeable he was . its not a 1000 yard rifle, its not the best scope and the gap in between the rings is not even which is part of your problem .i explained nothing is tight i was just rough setting the eye relief. and i had other scopes rings and bases . call me if there's a problem. he said ok and it be about six weeks, this was march 25th. so after not hearing anything for months i went to pick it up on june 18th . there were three of them sitting behind the counter all do absolutely nothing .he explained he spent a couple of hours go over it even calling in his go to guy. who is like a gun wizard. but before i left he gave one more tidbit of knowledge . he noticed the gap between the scope rings wasn't even and that more than likely your problem . thanked him and left. vowing to never go back.

Awesome experience! Knowledgeable and friendly! Was able to get what I couldnt find 4 other places including the bigger chain stores!. Have always had good luck here and obviously will be returning!

This is my first purchase at the Avon Gun shop. It was flawless. I received excellent friendly service, more than fair price, and have every intention of purchasing from here again. I also encourage family to visit this shop before going elsewhere. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. So glad I called to see if they had the firearm I wanted, then visited. I've been to gun shops all around New York, PA, and Florida. This is my favorite. 5 stars all the way.

A very angry man. Does not have the attitude to handle a gun, much less sell a gun. He is a liberal, no matter what he says. No one needs to know article 35 use of force to own a pistol. You only need to be a non felon with a valid nys ccw who understands the 2nd amendment, which he apparently does not understand.

I’m a volunteer first responder and selected this shop for a pistol purchase/order through Glock’s Blue Label program. Order took about 3-4 months. I paid for the gun. I received the gun with one 10 round Gen V pistol magazine. The shop owner cannot issue the 3 high cap magazines the pistol comes with from the manufacturer. NYS law for civilians. Everyone knows that. He knows that. I know that. Almost 11-12 mos later and this shop owner after 10 or more calls inquiring over the 2 magazines owed me, refuses to make this transaction complete stating there are no 10 round Gen V Glock pistol magazines anywhere to be found to complete this order. The shop owner indicates to me that I have to resolve this issue with Glock Corporate which is obviously wrong and untruthful. Why a gunshop or FFL dealer would participate in Glock’s Blue Label program and then appear to behave resentfully towards a customer or place a customer in the uncomfortable predicament or create the perception that he was cheated is beyond me. I don’t get it. This shop owner owes and cheated me. I’d avoid this place at all costs. The only commendable thing about this place is a tall gentleman I’ve encountered there who is a retired NYS trooper. Very nice, professional, friendly, salt of the earth type of guy. 100%. The owner? Quite the opposite. I hope I encounter him in public someday so I can tell him in person, outside of his gunshop. Shop elsewhere.

A very honest man owns this Gun Store. He sold 2 specialty guns for me. He sells new and used guns and ammo at a very reasonable price. I am glad I found this shop! Thanks for the good service!
