OH MY GOD TOM IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST! I’m not one for reviews but this guy deserves all the business in this town/ even if you’re passing through. My partners alternator needed to be changed and nobody was available for the next 2 weeks and we’re not from upstate we had to get back to Brooklyn by the nighttime and Tom was the only one who helped us even after his shop hours! He wanted to do everything he can to get us back to Brooklyn, after he switched the alternator for us, he also filled up our fluids just because he knew the long drive we were about to make he didn’t want us getting stuck! He was the kindest man and probably has the best prices in this town, you wouldn’t regret bringing your car to him. Other than fixing our problem he was a great person in general we got to know each other the few hours we were there and he is one amazing guy with such a sweet soul. I hope he gets all the business and support he deserves, also he has the cutest dogs so if you’re a dog person you’re in for a real treat lol

Can't say enough about how good this place is! Came in without appointment, driving by looking for a good mechanic. Took me in immediately and spent some time with my truck. Turned out to be an issue that was missed by other mechanics . Tom is extremely knowledgeable and is an amazing diagnostician. You can see how knowledgeable he is immediately.
Took his time with my truck and diagnosed the issue properly the first time. Did an amazing job and went far beyond what he was supposed to do, to get my truck to 110% (better than new). The truck runs fantastic and will serve me for years to come.
Thank you Dr Tom and the team. Truly an amazing service from start to finish. Appreciate your friendliness and treating me like family. TLC Machining & Auto Repair are truly a great team and I highly recommend this shop to anybody that needs quality and honest work.

A few months ago I was involved in a pretty bad car accident right in front of this business. Tom and LeAnn immediately ran out and took care of me before emergency services even arrived. They were even kind enough to provide me with access to their security footage so that I could have the video evidence. Since then, they have continued to take care of me, fixing up a chip on my new car for me. I cannot express how grateful my family and I are for this couple, as they have shown me such generosity and love. I only wish I had known about this business sooner. I will continue to return to them for every car maintenance possible!!

TLC Machining & Auto Repair is where I'll be going for car repairs and maintenance from now on. In the past I've usually performed repairs myself, however the repair I needed on my VW's water pump was a bit out of my comfort zone. A friend had recommended I bring my car to TLC and I'm very happy I did. I was given and estimate for parts and labor that made my decision to have the work done by Tom that much easier! Leanne and Tom have a great business focusing on honesty, integrity and value for the customer. They are also great people!

Tom was so helpful! Came in concerned about a potential nail in the tire of my Tesla, also unsure if it was going to be a standard fix. Tom quickly had the car jacked up to assess the situation and took great care in determining whether or not he could fix the tire. Turned out it was a small nail, simple patch and within 10min I was back on the road. Super lucky to have such helpful / great service in the area. Oh and they have three cute pups to add :)

Had 3 codes come up on the car everyone thought it was one thing Tom figured it out in 10 minutes something totally different got it fixed right away highly recommend

I wish I lived nearby and would make this my go to auto repair shop. Tom and Leann were incredibly helpful, honest, and hospitable.I was up in the area for an event and my tire pressure light came on. After adding air to my tired and the tire pressure still on, I was worried about a leak. With a 2+ plus drive back home ahead of me… I searched the nearest auto repair shop and decided on TLC based on the reviews. Don’t let the quantity of the reviews discourage you from making this your FIRST and TOP choice when you have a automobile issue. Their quality in work (ethic) and their character is above and beyond.They did not disappoint! Leann was wonderful as she was accommodating, given their busy schedule. And Tom was amazing, he looked into my car and taught me a few “mechanics 101” or as he puts it, “to make sure no one can swindle you when it comes to your car”.Luckily, I learned a new thing or two about my car, and met two individuals that truly care about their line of work.If you ever have car troubles, do stop by here.

I had my vehicle towed to TLC when my daughter was driving and the brakes locked up on her. Tom the owner/mechanic called me with very detailed and honest information about what was wrong. I’m not from the area, and was treated like I lived down the road from them.Super nice folks. He took pictures of everything wrong and sent them to me . I got 4 new tires , front brakes and calipers and a tension rod replaced. Then he took pictures of everything replaced and sent to me.The car is running awesome. My Daughter is up in the Albany area , but she will be bring the car to Tom for repairs and maintenance.

I don't write reviews often, but Tom is the best! So thorough and helpful.He even offers pick up & drop off service, and was more than flexible in working around my schedule right before a holiday weekend. Very grateful for the help!
