DON'T DROP OFF HERE.
I dropped off laundry here on a regular basis. I started asking for the receipts and noticed they charge you extra on 'extra soap.'
I asked them to specifically not use extra soap. This was written on my ticket as well. Picked it up, asked for the receipt, and wouldn't you know it they charged 3x extra soap. I told the lady to refund this money and she started pretending like she didn't speak English.
Don't drop off here.

They lost some of my clothing. I dropped it off to be cleaned, and when I got it back I found a note saying a customer had rummaged through, and some items may be missing or not mine. I found a shirt that was not mine and returned it. I’m still missing several items, including a few favorites. I’m still quite upset.

This is not my first bad experience with this place but definitely I'll be the last one. I have lived around the area for 4+ years now and I have been going to this place for good half of those years, intermittently due to bad experiences. I have always asked for my clothes to be separated and washed by color meaning AT LEAST, the black/color clothes from the whites. More than one occasion my white clothes have come stained with that dark film that only happens when you wash them with dark colors, did not make a fuss about it and decided perhaps, next time I need to make myself more clear. Last Sunday we drop off a small bag of laundry and clearly specify we wanted withe separately from darks, we picked it up yesterday and oh surprise! ALL our clothes have not only that dark film, result of being washed with black/dark color clothes BUT THEY ARE STAINED, and I'm talking dots and blobs and very visible stains as if they drop something on the clothes. I had a very nice sweatshirt, souvenir I just got from a trip from Nashville, bright white and now is RUINED!!! I go back and tell the person in charge at the moment showing her the items but obviously she does not know what happen, I don't blame her she was not there but her answer was: "bring it here and I'll try to put something on it but I cannot guarantee it will be cleaned" I asked where to contact the owners or the manager and no answer, there's an email for complains however, I sent an inquiry about a ridiculous charge for dry cleaning and I only wanted a clarification since it seemed they charged me two extra items I never brought, and I am still waiting for their response which I know it will not come. I am definitely NOT coming back and I'll advise everyone to stay away, I usually do laundry three times a week, drop off aside the eventual use of the machines for bed sheets and what not but not anymore; there's another very good laundry down the block, might be a bit further for convenience but it's ten times worth it than gamble how you are going to receive your clothes next wash and then not having the issues addressed correctly. Awful place...

As always I came to this place to wash my clothes, and one of the dryers had defects which burned two of my jackets, the girl who works there told me that she would talk to the owner about what happened, who told me that their machines are new that it is impossible to see something like this , I feel very discouraged about it since I came here for many years.

Cheating the customers!!I did the laundry choosing "heavy hot" temperature.I touched the glass door during the wash and the clothes when it finished and it was very cold.The lady said " it's a problem with the hot water with all of the machines and we are aware of that" i asked for money back and had to come again after 2 hours to get it and only after I told the owner I'll write a review on google.Many people were doing laundry there when I came back to get the money, most of them with 'warm, hot or heavy hot" program not knowing the water are cold ice and their laundry isn't being cleaned, I asked the staff why aren't they put a sign saying "no hot water" but I was ignored.If you care about your money, time and having clean clothes, go elsewhere.

Okay — but the 5$ money card is not treated as a deposi, like at other laundromats and the money is not returned. Seems like a scam.

Rude workers, they don't empty the machines and give you an attitude for asking to empty a machine even when they see you've been waiting for 10+ mins for a machine. Nasty machines with hair in them, not clean and extremely overcrowded. I would go down the block to the other laundromats

11/30/22 UPDATE: Just saw the owner's response below. Which would be hilarious if it wasn't so disturbing. That's not at all the series of events that transpired, nor was the owner even present. I had been going to TLR since it opened (for about 10 years) and never had a problem with any staff there. One day, a new (and unhinged) worker, seemingly made it her mission to mess with me. I truly have no idea why, maybe she was having a bad day or just didn't like my face. She was constantly floating around me, yelling at me for things I was washing (my slippers, etc.), and even randomly started filming me with her personal phone. I barely said a word to her, it was incredibly bizarre. I didn't bring this up earlier, as I didn't feel I needed to explain myself, but clearly, the owner is trying save face by misinforming the public. Haven't been back since btw.

I have been coming to this establishment for 4 years and have sadly seen its decline in recent months. The washing machines are no longer being periodically cleaned and there is so much mold in the doors and the soap compartments. It sometimes smells badly as if clothing soaked in urine is being washed in the machines. There also used to be a bench outside for extra seating to accommodate the number of peopledoing laundry but that’s gone now too. What a shame. It’s disappointing because it used to be a very clean and nice place and it’s so close to my house but I don’t think I can continue coming here. It feels gross. The people that work here are not the issue. They seem helpful and hardworking. I wonder if there is new management to blame. It definitely doesn’t feel like the same place it was 4 years ago.

The lady tried to charge me $5 to use the bathroom and $4 for a small box of laundry detergent. I came from another state and honestly she makes all New Yorkers look bad. She was extremely racist because my boyfriend is black.
