We are honestly speechless with how perfect of a human Alex from Petals & Roots is and how beautifully she brought our vision to life for our wedding in September 2023. As a same-sex couple, Alex made us feel nothing but loved and accepted from the very beginning. Wedding florals were initially not a top priority for us but we're so happy to have found Alex as she made our wedding absolutely STUNNING. Everything from our initial conversation to the million questions we asked along the way, the entire process was stressfree and Alex provided us with patience and total clarity on all of our questions/concerns both via email and over the phone. We knew which types of flowers we wanted but Alex also recommended others based on what was in season and the color palette we wanted, which was fun and bright. Petal & Roots pricing is competitive with other Tri-State floral vendors, however, we discussed our budget constraints with Alex and she was accommodating, working with us to create solutions without jeopardizing our vision. Her team was also amazing, setting up everything so efficiently before the ceremony and staying throughout the cocktail hour to make sure all the reception items were set up perfectly. When Alex arrived with our personals to the bridal suite, we were literally in tears seeing how beautifully she brought our vision to life, and meeting her was like seeing an old friend. We cannot recommend Alex and her team highly enough, and we will be forever grateful to have had her as part of our wedding day!

Alex is wonderful to work with! Very professional, communicative, and has the artistic eye and knowledge to put together the most beautiful floral arrangements. I can't wait to get wedding images back and plan to update this review with photos.My only tip is to pay attention to the installation fees and budget appropriately. On the floral proposal, there was a disclaimer providing the minimum and maximum possible fees calculated from the total. When our proposal was presented with the minimum amount, we thought this was calculated from the items in the proposal; however, it was just a placeholder. When we expressed concerns about the rise in pricing, they were able to work with us to stay closer to our budget.We highly recommend Alex and her team at Petals & Roots. Thank you for making our wedding day so beautiful!

This review is overdue. Best florist I have ever worked with! My husband's and my wedding fell in one of the dark eras of the pandemic (early January 2021). We had other plans initially, but ended up having a Zoom wedding in Central Park. The bouquet and boutonniere were ordered from Petals and Roots pretty last minute, but were gorgeous! I have gotten flowers from other places. My bridal bouquet was the nicest bouquet I have ever had. Then, months later in early Sept. 2021, I am the witness at my amazing friend's City Hall wedding. To make it feel special, I treated bride and groom to a bouquet and boutonniere from Petals & Roots. They were gorgeous flowers, smelled beautiful, and were also ordered pretty last minute. If you need a gorgeous bouquet, this is the place!

I had flowers delivered the same day for my new niece and the arrangement was perfect! I called the shop to request a custom floral design and they delivered on my vision perfectly! Would 100% recommend Petals & Roots for your flower delivery needs. It also felt great to shop small and support a local Astoria business :)

Petals & Roots did the flowers for my wedding (two bouquets, four boutonnières, and two corsages). Working with Alex was incredibly easy and the flowers were so beautiful. Alex and I had a quick phone call and the end product was beyond what I could have imagined, especially with the perfect pricing. Definitely recommend!
