Terrible experience after spending alot of money there thru the years . After a 25% off EVERYTHING sign was posted ..where they emphasize on the word "everything", they wouldn't honor 25% off comic book boxes . I informed the employee behind the counter I have purchased these boxes on weekends when that same sale was posted and without even asking , the employee out thru the discount. One time I even asked ...." does that include boxes" and the employee at the time said .... Yes , it says everything. Now this other employee said to me certain items don't apply . Well great way to lose a big time collector , who will also inform his collector friends to never step foot in there again. Great way to lose customers .

Over the years this place has become a wasteland. Over 30 dryers with 20 the most and maybe 5-6 that doesn't give off any heat. The washers forget about it. Buttons are missing and a handful out of service for the past few yrs. I can see why ppl are not coming into this place. Enclosed are photos of white tape covering the card slot because dryers are not working.

Midtown Comics will send you damaged comics or send you the wrong comics. I have had 2 back to back experiences with them and I will not come back again. Their return policy only benefits themselves so you are left with damaged or mistaken goods and they get to keep their profits. Do not recommend ordering from here. Their quality control is extremely subpar. Please look into ordering your comics from anywhere else.

My son loved this shop, and the staff was nice and helpful. The basement is chock full of back issues sorted nicely series with many different price points and a lot of 99 cent issues. They also offer a surprise box for 49.99. Lots of books and assorted merch upstairs, open only on weekends. We went during the Black Friday sale and got a big stack of comics 50% off!!

Organized little comic outlet. The lower level has a BIG assortment. If you enjoy looking through alphabetized bins then this will be your nirvana. Wasn't too excited with the cost of some of some of the statues considering they had damage but props to them for labeling and clearly showing any issues. Was able to shop on a discount day and it was awesome. Nice addition to the neighborhood... only open on Saturdays and Sundays!

This is the best Midtown Comics branch in my option. It has the largest selection of back issues, they also have some good keys and variants on the walls while we were there. No current issue comics

The best collection of recent back issues in Queens, from what I've seen recently. The place is well organized and what you're there for is cheap basement back issues, but don't expect to see many things pre 2000s in the bins (just on the walls). Still, worth a look.

Terrible customer service. Ordered a book online and it never got delivered according to the tracking number. I even waited just like their website implies due to Covid slow downs. When it never came i contacted midtown and the customer service rep told me i waited too long and couldn’t help me do anything. When i asked to speak to a supervisor the rep refused to connect to someone else and when i insisted they stopped replying. I will never buy from them again. Buyers beware. They ended up contacting me after the review was posted and solved the issue. Upgrade to 3 stars afterwards bc they did end up righting the situation.

Love it, Got to take my new born there for some comic action. Love digging through the back issues, 99cent and the deals cant be beat!! It's like shopping off the rack, but for comic's. It's a great place and the staff is as great as any other store. Try them all dont take my word for it
