I’ve lived in Astoria for the past 7 years and every time my car breaks down, she’s an old Hyundai, Chris or his team get the car out and fixed asap so I can keep working. As someone who grew up with a father who was a mechanic, it’s been nice to know I have a shop I can trust nearby. I’ve honestly seen them fixing everything from semi-trucks to vintage cars. They’re always fair with their prices and they all seem to be truly good people with a lot of passion and skill.

Quick and affordable. Super awesome and friendly lead mechanic . No issues and my cars break pads were replaced without issue . Will definitely recommend to others in the future .

Owner is dishonest. He said I needed a new catalytic converter. He replaced it with an after market and kept my original. This was before the height of catalytic converter thefts.

When my old Tacoma starting giving my a shifting issue, I was desperate to find a good shop. Best Auto is literally down the street from me. I thought my clutch went bad, so I was thinking it will be an over a thousand dollar repair, but Chris figured out the clutch was fine, but the master and space cylinder failed, came out to only )$500 repair. Anytime something goes wrong with Frankie, I just roll him down the street to Best Auto. They can diagnose things quickly and have always been right. I have now been a customer for a little over a year, they have fixed my parking brake, leaf springs, CV joint and much more! I’ll be their customer for years to come.

It is very difficult often to find a car mechanic to trust, and, thus, once found they are precious. That is why I still drive to The Best Auto Repair from Bronx after we moved away from Astoria.

I hate having to deal with anything related to my car, so I was already slightly paranoid having to take it to a mechanic.
First off, Chris and his team are extremely friendly, and have a very calming and approachable demeanor. Which made it very easy for someone like me who was already freaking out about how much $$ this was gonna cost me.
I left them my car, and within a few hours Chris called me and told me, it was simply my battery. They will change it, and I can come pick it up within the hour. I’m glad it was a minor issue. The service was so great, and so was the communication, that I will not hesitate to come here again in the future.

Very friendly and quick work. They took my car in that day for an oil change and were not pushy about selling me on the full synthetic, which I appreciated. They did a full check-over of my car and I appreciated their feedback
