I usually don’t bother leaving negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others about this UPS Store. Customer service here simply doesn’t exist. The gentleman at the counter was extremely rude from the start.
I asked for tape to seal my box, and instead of selling me actual tape (as they should, with sales tax), he charged me $2 just to tape the box himself. After that, once he placed the shipping label on, he told me to move the box myself because it was “too heavy for him to lift.”
This is not the level of service you expect from UPS. Do yourself a favor and go to any other UPS Store—you’ll save yourself the frustration.

This place has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. The Asian man with the glasses is rude and dismissive. I really hate leaving crappy reviews, but they deserve to lose whatever franchise deal they have. This is the second time; the first time, I ignored it because everyone has a bad day, but when it happens often, you need to decide if you want to continue working with the public.

They don’t deserve poor reviews. My experience has been good. In and out quickly. No nonsense service. It’s great to have convenience of dropping off returns

An employee at the store was attempting to assist me when the owner, who was working at another register, suddenly yelled at me for asking questions about tracking a label. Even another customer in the store appeared confused by the situation.
I calmly explained to the owner that this is not how customer service should be handled—you can’t yell at customers simply for asking questions. His response was that he wasn’t there to provide customer service because he is the boss.
I was unaware that “The UPS Store” operates separately from UPS and their tracking system. The day before, I had called UPS directly and was informed that they could view the label from their system, so I assumed it would be possible to drop it off at the store.

Do not use this UPS store! In fact, use FedEx or some other company altogether. We paid for and send a package overnight shipping and it took 12 days to get to its destination! When we asked for a refund, they said they would issue one by mail. We still have not received the check, more than two months later, and now they are telling us they cannot issue one because it was the wrong address, which it was not—as evidenced by the fact that the package was eventually delivered to that address. In addition, they said that we have to call the UPS main office; that they (Ardsley UPS) cannot issue a refund—the main UPS company must do it (something they seem to have recently made up since they did not dispute being able to send a refund two months ago). Meanwhile, the UPS main office says we have to go through the Ardsley office. What a circular runaround! I wish I had read the other reviews before using UPS Ardsley!

I was about to write a review about my recent awful experience at this UPS store when I saw that someone had a similar one just a few days ago.
I went to the store with a parcel that was already taped, but I had to reopen it to add something. It only needed less than 3 inches of tape to seal it again. I politely asked the employee for some tape, but he ignored me and suggested I buy a new shipping plastic bag instead. I declined and asked for tape again, but he ignored me once more. I thought maybe he didn’t hear me or misunderstood, as he handed me the shipping label and expected me to tape it onto the parcel myself. Then he remarked that everything in my parcel might fall out during transportation.
I assured him it was fine, but when he saw me struggling to fix the parcel, he finally got some tape and applied it. Before handing it back, he said, “Next time, I’ll charge you $2.” I couldn’t believe the unprofessional and petty behavior at this UPS store. It was such a disappointing experience.

I avoid going there. Taping packages is complimentary at any other UPS or Fedex stores, here it is the opposite. We like ups for convenience and polite services, the owners here are somewhat impatient and never offer taping. Go somewhere else!

Went there to drop a box off for my daughter for her college, and the lady that works there demanded that I paid two dollars for 3 inches worth of tape to close the box!
the way she said it was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing. I can’t believe for 3 to 4 inches of tape that she would charge her customers two dollars! i’ve never heard anything like that absolutely ridiculous! completely unprofessional. I will never ever go there again. UPS should do something. Usually the tape is complementary to all the customers.

Was charged $2 for 2 pieces of tape; a rip off and money hungry; even with a pre paid label

I mailed an antique sewing machine this week to CA and it arrived safe and sound! The elder gentlemen helped me. I trusted him to pack it start to finish, and I checked with the recipient and he did an excellent job. I saw in the UPS photo at the doorstep what it looked like, and he had a FRAGILE sticker put on and everything. I simply trusted him. Honestly, I don't normally trust people, and I am usually a control freak, but I could tell that he knew what he was doing, and I just told him what I needed, paid and left. I let him do his thing after I left. I just trusted him, gave him space, and I am glad I did! He did an excellent job! This was a heavy but delicate item. A family heirloom. I am kind of dumbfounded about the recent reviews because thinking back, over the last several years, I have had EXCELLENT SERVICE here as well! I am thankful for the Ardsley UPS and was shocked when my friend said there were terrible reviews and asked me why was I going there. I said I have only had several positive experiences and that's why I am writing now. In the past, I was helped with a notary and the folks here went out of their way to help me relax and get important papers finished and sent correctly at the end of the day on a very tight deadline. Honestly, if you just let the man do his thing, you might be pleasantly surprised.
My item was difficult to ship, and he knew exactly what to do to get it there !
