I recently was visiting North Folk to meet a long distant friend who mentioned this place. Going in, I was welcomed with such smells of sweetness and more. I was greeted and served by a charisma lad known as Alex.He welcomed me into the store and was extremely polite and well mannered. Looking around the rest of the team seem to but my experience with Alex was great. It has been a while since i met someone who served me with such kindness and passion and not put on a face cause they had to. Alex meant it.I want to thank Alex for providing me and also making me find a new love for gourmet chocolate and more.I hope you all have a great career. Cause with people like Alex i am honestly sure you have nothing to worry about. Please visit this place. The chocolate here is made with love.

I would like to give a shout out to Steve from the North fork chocolate company located in Riverhead. Every time I called he answered and helped me all along the way so I could coordinate a surprise chocolate deliver for my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. The chocolates are absolutely beautiful, and I will be returning for any future chocolate cravings. Thank you Steve and thank you North Fork chocolate factory.

Coffee is way too expensive but their chocolate selection looked amazing. Store was cute with some interesting knick knacks and condiments for sale.We paid $39 plus tip for 3 small mocha lattes with 3 shots, and oat/almond milk. There were no prices posted anywhere so we had no clue until it was too late. For the price, they weren’t that great, either. Chocolate was pricey as well but for good quality chocolate that’s to be expected these days.Since the owner replied - no, our lattes were small, and after sitting in the car for 10 minutes they all turned to sludge which none of us were happy about. There were NO prices posted and we were all shocked when the total came up. If the latte was $7.95 then how did we get to $13 a cup in the end? It doesn't add up, regardless of the ingredients used. Again, maybe a price list would have helped us make a better decision to not overpay for a coffee drink. Your store is cute, but I do not recommend buying specialty coffee there unless you're rich and have the money to spend. :)

We went to the store in Mattituck and the chocolate was pretty tasty although quite expensive which would have been ok, but the lady behind the counter had zero personality and wasn't helpful at all. I think that if you want to succeed in this type of business, besides having great chocolate, you need to have personnel that add to the ambience, not take away from it. I imagine that good help is hard to find, especially out East. The decor is very nicely done and the outdoor tables are a nice option. I really want to see this place succeed in Mattituck so when hiring please get personnel that want the place to succeed too.

I'm giving 5 stars specific to the chocolates as they are beautiful and exceptional. The glazed red hearts with cherries is absolutely exquisite! A box of this bonbon alone would seal the deal for Valentine's Day. The prices are a tad high but for the quality of the chocolates, it's worth it. My husband and I both got a taster sampler box (4 chocolates) so we tasted 8 in total. Every one of them was a standout. Each box was $8. We also got a hot chocolate (pretty good), a small apple pie tort (not terrible), and for some ungodly reason my husband grabbed a bag of chocolate covered oreos (not even worth acknowledging, LOL.) But the star of the show here are the chocolates. Someone knows what they are doing when it comes to making these, and it's a mystery how they came to master the art of confectionary. I've passed the shop a million times when it was in Aquebogue and avoided it simply because of the zoo menagerie on the front lawn. When it opened in Mattituck, I made a point of stopping in to support them. The dull facade is simply not welcoming and the shop itself is somewhat chaotic. There is no sophistication in the decor that you'd associate with this level of chocolates. There is not even a hint of marketing acumen displayed, even though many of the chocolates are made with local wines and ingredients. I could easily imagine a cross-marketing campaign with the chocolates being offered at any of those featured vineyards, paired with cheeses. It's a no-brainer. The chocolates simply exist as if they appeared from another place and time. And although the shop is not appealing to me overall, damn if I won't be back for those chocolates.
