“Extremely local farm with fresh eggs and raw milk. I've been going there for my eggs for many years. Not the cheapest place around for farm fresh eggs. About a dollar or more per dozen than most places. The owners of the farm are REAL FARMERS not your backyard variety like me. Their service is good if a bit stand offish. The ambiance is small town old farm with chickens and ducks running around... laundry hanging outside to dry. Watch out for the potholes on the dirt road leading to the farm.”
“The atmosphere in this place is enough to make you want to be there. All the vendures are friendly and happy to talk to you Great local items and food. Always new vendures coming in and they do events there as well. Check it out you will be glad u did!”
“Great produce! You receive more than you will ever expect. The variety of produce is seasonal and fresh picked and packaged the night before. I was very, very satisfied with my decision in choosing Golden Earthworm.”
“A friend and I stopped at this farm stand last weekend while taking a jaunt out on eastern LI. The owners were so wonderful! It's clear this farm has been around for decades and they take care of their environment. I was just looking for a few mums but they had such an amazing collection and the colors were off the charts, that I ended up purchasing five of them!! The fruits and vegetables looked gorgeous as well, needless to say I couldn't resist the ripe tomatoes, as well as the fresh corn, and, of course, the watermelon! I was also lucky enough to score some apple cider from one of the other local farms that was being sold here and some homemade cider donuts! I love that the owners share their venue with other local vendors. For example, they also sold homemade mozzarella and farm fresh eggs from other farmers! Some of the other vegetables sold were cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, and lettuce, to name just a few!! Boy did I get my money's worth!! I was thrilled to support our local businesses and did my part in helping the economy!!LOL!!”
“The family that runs this outpost of all things fresh and flavorful has conquered the concept of the Farmstand. The staff is friendly and helpful to the ninth degree, I recomend everything there!”
“Quaint shopping for fresh produce and gifts. Some unique finds sushi as concord grape pie, tomato pie and pumpkin fluff. Fresh frozen food and local plants and crafts.”
“When corn is in season, Anderson's is the place to go.Best corn at a good price. I've been buying corn there since the days when corn was 30 cents an ear.”
“My friend and I arrived around 2pm on Wednesday. There was plenty of parking and we were greeted kindly by everyone working there. The U-pick costs $45 for a grocery tote-sized bag (which I think is a steal/great value compared to other U-pick prices along the North Fork). The apple orchards were near the back of the farm, but it was a very scenic drive and the owner shared with us the history of the farm. This was near the end of the season, so there were only two varieties left: Cameo and Ruby Frost. There were plenty of them still on the trees (see the picture) and the Ruby Frost was especially delicious! Overall, the experience was so lovely and I would highly recommend coming here. I've been to Harbes a few times and prefer Wickham's with regards to environment and apple quality!”
