I went into the store to switch my service and give them new business. The salesman was annoyed that we were there, completely misleading, and we ultimately left and went elsewhere for new phone service. 10 minutes with him reminded me why we left Verizon 12 years ago in the first place. I was hoping that they had tracked down better employees by now. Never do business with this store. One star is much more generous than I would be.

Best to stay away from this business. Order online through Verizon website. The amsterdam store is not a regular Verizon store. It is a Victra Verizon store. The advertised number is NOT the actual phone number. It connects you with an agent who will then attempt to answer your question. In my case after a few attempts the agent said the store was not answering his call. I ordered a device directly from Verizon and their rep suggested that I could pick it up locally from verizon victra in Amsterdam. They would contact me in a few hours and let me know when I could come in. I could have had the device shipped and would have received it in two days. After three days and no contact with the store, I called the advertised number again and was informed (by the Victra person not the actual store) that it would be five more days before I could pick up the device. At this point I cancelled the order through Victra and went online to order again. This time I requested free two day shipping. Save yourself a heap of trouble and longer than necessary wait. Deal directly with Verizon. I normally do not give bad reviews until I talk with the actual business but in this case that seems to be impossible.

I DID NOT give This original review of 5 stars.-The person that was checking my phone at Verizon must have. I found a text and authorization on my phone, that I was not asked nor did I approve.She was unable to tell me anything and suggested I call customer service.
