The only negative about this very clean store is checking out, which is usually a real pain. There can be a dozen or more employees going here and there but there will almost NEVER be more than one checkout open. The food department is excellent with everything always fresh and everyone I've ever asked fr help has been very helpful. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the crappy check out situation. Thank God we have an alternative to Walmart

IDK what it is about this Target but the employees here do everything they possibly can to avoid customer interaction. I could look right at one of them as I walk past them and won't even get an acknowledgement or hello, Instead their eyes divert away and they keep walking. Customer service is truly terrible here.

Wide-open spaces, Often empty shelves and mostly running on a single register. This Target is a borderline ghost town and comes off more as a store slowly going out of business rather than one that is thriving. The ones in Glenville and Wilton are great, This one....yikes. My guess: Customers were tired of the long lines, limited stock and empty shelves so they took their business elsewhere. I could totally see this place closing up shop sooner rather than later.

This place has always been completely unorganized. They don't have an overnight crew so they restock shelves during the day and it becomes chaos trying to pick up your hot Cheetos, for instance. Besides this, they hired me precovid (hired as in I went through an interview and signed papers regarding my official employment). I got emails about how I'd be contacted soon about an orientation. That being said, I waited and stopped my long, multi-month, mostly unsuccessful, job search. After about a week of not hearing anything, I went into the store and asked about why I wasn't hearing anything. I was told to just keep waiting and that "I'd hear something soon." About a week after that, I got an email that they weren't considering my employment any longer. As if I wasn't officially hired and was a real employee. Thanks to them it was officially quarantine time, and jobs were even harder to find. There was no chance for employment after I stopped looking (because I thought I was employed) and now, I don't have spending money for my freshman year of college. I've been to this target since and the manager that "gave me my job" hasn't recognized me at all.

I've been shopping here every week for over two years. I enjoy the friendly staff and clean building. Staff is always ready to assist me with the projects I'm working on. Only had an issue with a cashier one time and the manager and two other staffers apologized after hearing her speak rudely to me.

The question I have to ask, is Target going out of business? There are maybe two racks of women's size clothes to choose from. Shelves in many of the departments are empty. The general appearance of the stores--not just Amsterdam, but Wilton and Niskayuna as well are neglected and dirty. You can't find anyone to ask about availability or features of items you may want to purchase. Like Sam Walton said, "You can't sell empty space."
