“This shelter is clean and safe. My wife and I just adopted Cricket. Cricket was a stray running on the streets of Amsterdam and now is being spoiled at our home. The Montgomery County SPCA has a stringent adoption program that includes forms, references and photos of the home that the pet will be living in. That is refreshing and honest, everything they do is for the care and safety of the animals. The dog kennels are clean and the cat kennels are large and fun. Please, if your family needs a pet, check out the Montgomery SPCA. One more thing though, my google maps shows the SPCA as being downtown Amsterdam...it is not. The sheltet is on the southside of the river at 1232 NY State HWY 5s Amsterdam, NY.”

“I want to give a huge thank you to my Amsterdam tractor supply. I received a door dash order. It was literally 2 minutes before close the manager not only let me in but helped me shop and checked the back when one item wasn’t available. Then helped me load the 23lb bag of dog food into my car. Amazing customer service. Absolutely impressed. 5 stars.”

“Pet smart is a convenient store, meaning that pretty much anything you will ever need is more than likely at this store. The problem is that everything is name brand and super expensive. A simple feather duster toy is so expensive ($8) that we often don't buy them. It's a piece of plastic with feathers glued to it. It's not really worth more than a dollar or two. Kitty litter here is $21+ for tidy cat, on sale for the same price as the everyday price at Walmart. At the end of the day, do your research. Sometimes, the deals at petsmart feel a little more worth it than others.”
