I wouldn't even give them 1 star but had too just to do a review. Was lied to from day one from the store in Amsterdam. Was told we couldn't put number on plan because it was a pre pay. Which was not the case. So we would have to get new number. Then they said they could and other number would come off and install menus would go to that line. Never did. Was told bill for unlimited plan would go up $40. More like over $100. I have called multiple times and spoke with Manger Emily. Who states she is waiting to hear back from District Manger about credit and taking off line. Never call backs. Just spoke with someone at customer service and they told me the truth. NEVER do business with Amsterdam AT&T. They are liars and give out false information. Going to the Better Business Bureau next.

It felt like the guy at the store accused me of writing a fake letter from my fire department and wouldn’t help me with verifying my first net account even though the guy at the Albany store helped my boyfriend with verifying his account and Amsterdam has helped him several times… contemplating going back to Verizon

I changed my review after seeing how my mom was taken advantage of when going for an upgrade. The promotion in Sept. was for a ‘free’ upgrade but now we noticed months later that not only did they charge us for her phone but added on additional insurance (which we already had coverage for all 4 phones on plan) and added this Next Up yet continued to promise her that the bill would not increase. Clearly they get some sort of commission for adding this on plans. Check your bills closely you too could be paying double insurance charges and this ‘Next Up’ charge (which makes no sense if phone is a free upgrade). Our fam has been with AT&T for over 25 yrs and seeing how they took advantage of an elderly has me doubting my decision to stay with them. My bill is outrageous and now after talking to customer care I see why… thanks to this store!

AT&T Amsterdam store is horrible! No help offered. If you are smart, go to JOHNSTOWN, NY. They are knowledgeable and helpful. If I could I would give a minus star review.

Went to the store to get an upgrade on my phone and I used to work here so I know they make commission off of certain sales. Was told that I had no choice but to put next up and insurance on my phone when I said I didn’t want it from the beginning. It still got out on and I had to call customer service and get it off. Other than that I was in and out very fast. Watch out when you go there because they most definitely will try and upsell you. Always have and always will.

Very poor service, was told that all my information would be transferred, almost none of it was, now I’m stuck not being able to get into most of my accounts or apps, called to see if they could help, was told no, then I was told that none of that information gets transferred, I think you train your employees and managers better or get new ones

I had a wonderful experience with James today. He was so helpful and understanding. He went above and beyond. He was very professional and very personable. I cannot say enough about the wonderful customer service I received today. I appreciate encountering wonderful people like James and I hope he knows that he is appreciated.

Went to this AT&T expecting a normal visit to set up my phone, and was beyond happy with my experience. The young woman helping me, Emily, who I believe was the manager, was quick and efficient and always had a smile through this process. I’m so happy I decided to go to this store, and as a result my phone is now set up and ready to use.

Today, I stepped into the AT&T store, my heart heavy with frustration, as my phone had abruptly stopped working. In an untimely fashion, the screen flickered and darkness swallowed it, leaving me cut off from the world. No calls, no texts, and even social media became an inaccessible realm. As I heavily rely on my phone for work, its sudden malfunction threw my day-to-day business into disarray. The feeling of disconnection settled in, as if my messages were lost at sea, adrift and unanswered.Fortunately, my path crossed with the remarkable Kevin, whose skills seemed straight out of a captivating movie like "The Magician's Apprentice," starring the enigmatic Nicolas Cage. With an air of confidence, he took charge of my ailing device, performing his AT&T magic that eluded my understanding. Kevin's calm and patient demeanor was reminiscent of a skilled surgeon from Grey's Anatomy, guiding me through the intricate workings of my phone. His expertise restored hope, as he announced, "Your phone is back, now equipped with the power of 5G. You shouldn't encounter any more issues."Eager to prevent future mishaps, Kevin and I discussed upgrade options to fortify my phone's resilience. We delved into the selection of a new iPhone, complete with three camera lenses that would capture my beloved dog's essence in stunning detail. Together, we tailored a phone plan that aligned perfectly with my needs, and Kevin seamlessly handled the paperwork, making the process smoother than Indiana Jones navigating the treacherous Temple of Doom.Filled with gratitude, I left the store, armed with a brand-new phone and Kevin's contact details securely saved in my speed-dial. Knowing I had a phone magician on my side brought immense reassurance, ready to conquer any future hurdles. Thank you, Kevin, for your exceptional skills, professionalism, and for transforming a stressful experience into a positive resolution.

I’m not necessarily one to ask questions, but I want to take you all on my journey to this store today….I was sitting at home and have been thinking about changing my phone for quite some time now. Nothing to really say except I’m a man of little needs. I had nothing on my agenda for the day so I decided after stopping by the grocery store I figured I’d treat myself to a new phone since I had the money to actually buy myself something nice for once.No joke, this summer has been completely draining, and has left me with little energy to really motivate myself for things. But when I got to AT&T today, after going to the grocery for my protein snack needs, I was given reassurance in what I was looking for. (I absolutely love peanut butter.)Kevin greeted me as I walked into the store like a King greets his Kingdom, y’all, I couldn’t tell you how impressed the customer service was. Not only did he go out of his way to greet me, but also helped my purchasing needs by asking what specifically my use for the phone is.Needless to say this was time, money, and energy well spent. I highly recommend talking to Kevin for your phone needs and customer service. Man is a King, y’all.

I came in with very low expectations based on previous visits. All of that changed when I spoke to Kevin. Literally the most helpful person I've spoken with. He was very personable and went above an beyond. Im not sure if he's a manager or not, but he definitely had the temperament and knowledge of one. I hope he is there the next time I need in-store assistance

I was attending a convention and needed space on my phone for photos and ran into issues freeing space. Anticipating a toxic environment that would scare away big business based on reviews - it was actually a great experience with a gentleman named Kevin. He invested time and energy (which got my money) into resolving my issue. Note: only buy The Brand name SD cards.

I was in town visiting family, when my phone stopped working. I came into the store, where Kevin helped me. He was very professional, as well as very personable. I didn’t feel like an idiot for not knowing how to fix my phone. Thank you Kevin for your help. Please give the man a raise and/or a promotion. The guy deserves it.
