Saved me a trip home empty handed.Was on a walk around Amsterdam on a day off from work, taking in the sights, and with a plan to buy dinner from Cuba Havana. However Cuba was closed down, totally, and my second choice was reserved out entirely. I felt kind of defeated, but then I remember that I walked pass a Deli near Mule Fitness.Going inside the place is kind of cramped, not much room to maneuver around the shelves, but if you want to see their offerings for food then it's just pass the register.They have no online menu, and in fact, not even a billboard with what they have to buy. However the guy manning the area gave me a rundown of all the food on sale. I ended up getting a couple Chicken and Cheese Empanadas, a couple of these Croquette (one made with Yuca and the other potato), and a dish of the Chicken Parmesan.Made my trip home and dug into everything. The Empanadas were the best, packed with flavor and delightfully crispy. The Croquettes were ok, but they used ground beef instead of chicken inside which I'm not a huge fan of. As for the chicken parmesan I was shocked at how thick the chicken was, as I'm use to restaurants flattening the patty down to a wafer. This was like a pound of chicken, and was nearly a 1/2 inch thick of meat and cheese. It was almost too much.So I was not anticipating in coming here, but I'm glad to have finally checked the Deli out after having lived in Amsterdam for over 10 years now.

This is the only spanish store I will eat from in Amsterdam they have empanadas, pernil, rice, stews, and much more. They're a little pricey, but it's worth it. Their pasteles are really good ?

After hearing my bf rave for months about his fav pork & rice lunch spot on forest ave, I finally stopped it today myself and it was 1pm and everything was definitely looking delicious & homemade and amazing . I myself got the beefw cheese Empanadas , and I'm just upset I didn't buy more. Soooo good. So fresh. Yum!

After seeing all these good reviews exc I decided to grab food for me and my mother. when I got there it was looking good. I got the potatoes and veggies with the salmon. As I arrived home, when my mother bit on to the potato it was hard and she was disappointed and hungry. I feel bad because I argue with her until I had some of my plate and sadly, was undercooked. Veggies were also the same way carrots were hard. I hate to write this but I hope that they can use this honest critic as a way to improve and not have that occur again. Not sure if I'll be getting any veggies or potatoes I'll stick to their appetizers.

The owner and his family are top notch people... so friendly... the ready food is fantastic... always a selection of beef, chicken, pork with rice n beans...the Empanada's are outstanding...Bonus- they have all the essentials like Eggs, bread and milk. Plus much more, like beer, soda, cold cuts subs etc..

I had the pernil with rice and beans and they were absolutely fantastic. The pork was piled high, juicy, and so flavorful. I also got the meat and cheese & chicken and cheese empanadas and if you don’t get them while you’re there, you’re doing it wrong. Highly recommend!
