that was probably the worst shopping experience I've ever had. Numerous people were having the same troubles as we were, the poor worker was running in circles in the self check out area. You cannot bag your items as you scan them because it demands that you weigh everything and even when we tried to put in the fact that we had three shopping bags and tried to weigh them it wouldn't work. After putting in my phone number for the discounts, apparently I did it wrong, which the system never told me , so as we rang up all our items, none of the sale prices came up nor would the coupons scan. We had to call the guy over probably five or six times just to cash out 20 items. I was complaining of what a horrible shopping experience we were having when one of the employees told me "see you later" just to be a smart ass . We will Never go back. Your business sucks on so many levels including your customer service! $4.99 for a loaf of bread? $5.99 for 24 bottles of poland spring? $9.99 for a 12 pk of seltzer. ridiculous!!!!

Store dirty & pharmacy service very slow, even with very short lines. Waited over10 minutes to pick up meds that were ready for pickup.

Having retired from Tyco Management and worked at Tops for over a year I do have a few suggestions . First $13.20 is a TERRIBLE wage as even P.T. employees have to pay Union Dues and supply there own black shirt and pants . There is no premium pay for Sunday and Holiday's you get a pitiful $1 /hr extra while the Full Time employees get time and a half for Sunday's and Holiday's . Even as a thank-you for working during the pandemic Top's gave the P.T. workers a $25 gift card and the Full Timers got double ! If you take the $13.20 I worked for 18 hrs a week, minus union dues , minus gasoline, minus clothes I bought , minus mileage depreciation on my car I was making $8/hr !!!!!! The turn-over is HORRENDOUS in P-T employees and places like Walmart starts at $19 P.T. , no Union & no dress code ! That being said there are some excellent dedicated Full time & P.T. staff but Tops does not have a fair system in place to pay and reward their staff . At 67 yrs old I went South this Winter for 6-weeks and the Union rules had me terminated even with a 5-month notice. I enjoyed working there but the financial reward is pitiful .....

Staff always friendly, willing to help find what you need. Will personally contact you if there are any problems. I will not go any other place for my prescriptions. Pharmacists are very knowledgeable.

The customer service at the Tops @ 890 young st in tonawanda Is absolutely terrible , people cutting in line while the manager watches and workers more interest in whatever they have going on instead of the customers! Over priced items never going back!!!

I am very disappointed again today. Sent my husband to Tops market in Erie Pa. West 26th st. They had hamburg on sale 85% ground BOGO. My husband didn't realize he didn't get a deal after all. They charged $5.89 a pound. He got 4 for me. OUCH Packs were small about 2. 1/2 ponds to 3 pounds. Sticker shock. Then I get the meat ALL DARK MEAT in the middle. Only a thin layer of red wrapped around the dark. This is. Unbelievable. I think I will be going to our newly opened meat market from now on. I also awhile ago bought the large pack of strawberries on sale. Another BOGO. Paid $ 9 50 I went in 2 days later they were on regular price $4.39. Again no deal there.

Since returning from abroad, I have had many disappointing experiences at a few Buffalo-area Tops locations. As a child and young adult I recalled many of visits to be second to none if not on par with perineal competitors such as Wegmans, however in recent years, Top Friendly Markets consistently has lagged behind by way of price, cleanliness, quality, selection, customer service when matched against local, national and international chains that have entered the Western New York market within the past decade. My frustration with Tops started when first returned to the area May of 2015. I wanted to return bottles and cans for their deposit at the Tops Main and Union location. I had various redeemable container purchased at different Supermarkets throughout the area. I inserted various bottles and cans into the machines which were purchased at several non-Tops stores such as Wegmans. All the cans were accepted and credited with the acceptation of a few others - the containers that were once filled with drinks I had purchased at another Tops locations the other side of Last year, I was shopping for bananas the Tops Maple and Transit location. After I inserted my phone into the front pocket of my shorts, the mobile phone fell to the floor. As I was about to pick up the phone I noticed a working heading in the path where the phone fell a few feet away. The worker, wearing black shirt with a red collar, was dangerously close, so instead instead of reaching down to pick up my phone I told the worker "I dropped my phone" and "watch out." Oblivious to my commands, the worker ran over my phone with the cart, causing two of the four wheels of the cart to knock the flimsy cover of the phone and and cause damage to the screen and stylus. Judging by the colors of the employee's shirt I was certain it was a Tops employee who had damaged my phone. I called Tops customer service explain what had happened but they insisted that they reviewed video of the incident and insisted that it was not a Tops Employee they view in the incident, but a Coca Cola vender and they were not responsible. I had no idea how it would be possible that representative of Cola Cola would be pushing a cart carrying produce into the produce department. She along with other representatives told that a representative of Coca Cola's insurance provider would be in touch with me and warned that I could that I could be responsible for committing fraud. When I got in touch with Coca Cola's insurance representative I was stunned how unprofessional she was. I assumed she had access to the very same video the Tops employees had allegedly viewed and insisted she view it. "Check the video," I said. She then replied "yeah, I'll check the video," with a hint of sarcasm. I said it may not have been a Coca Cola employee because the person maneuvering the cart was wearing a shirt like most Tops employees commonly wear. I then asked what she saw in the video. After asking. She then revealed to me that there was no video and the call ended abruptly thereafter. Following the call, I continued to call Tops' costumer service to inform them what happened , insisting it was Tops and the Coca Cola Company that was responsible for the damage of my mobile phone. To this day, I was compesated by Tops with not even a ten-doller gift certificate. It's really a shame how petty Tops has become.

I went in to cash my checks today. and I was greeted with attitude and anger from 2 females that worked At customer service. it's crazy how you can be nice to these workers but every time I come in there, they try to tell me I can't cash my checks or they are very upset at the point that they have to cash them. no Point of working in customer service if you can't deal with customers.

Worst pharmacy to depend on getting refill medications on time, no calls will be made to arrange for pickup medications, when you do come for medications the new untrained person will tell we don't have your medicine, can you come back 2 days later i have to call the doc, this will happen again and again, they are not trained to serve customer care, they are there as you are here to play ping pong.

Well of course I didn't have some ingredients that I needed for a recipe and didn't want to drive to my usual supermarket. So I figured , what are the odds that Tops won't have tomato paste and cumin? I'll just run over there and grab those few things there. Oddly the store didn't seem crowded but there were only about ten carts to pick from. They do have wipes to clean them with, so I did that and went in with high hopes. Why I didn't take a picture of the spice section I can only attribute to the shock of it. I can honestly say I've never seen a spice section that looked like this. I'm not sure what happened, if there is a spice festival I wasn't invited to perhaps, but there was row after row after row of empty spices. But for Ginger , and coriander everything else was gone!! I found the other items I was looking for. And the rest of the store looked to be in good shape. There was no wait to check out and the clerk was very pleasant and helpful. I'm very sure she was cheerful under her mask. She packed my bag and reminded me that I had a soda on the counter to drink and not to forget it. And even when I went out to the parking lot and loaded my car, the young man saw me getting ready to take my cart back to the store and came over from across the parking lot to get it from me and saved me the trip back. So I was pleasantly surprised by my trip to Tops at the University Plaza today , but I do wonder what event is taking place that required all the spices to be almost completely gone???
