I had to cash a check from an attorney. The attorney’s check was FROM M&T Bank. They charged me $20 to cash a check drawn from their own bank. I was looking around for anew bank- needless to say it will NOT be M&T Bank. I would avoid this bank at all costs- anyone that imposes a $20 fee for something like that- can you imagine their other fees if you bank with them?

Do NOT use M&T Bank!!! My 97 year old WWII veteran father has been a loyal customer for decades. His bank card was recently stolen and the thief took $20K!!! No M&T claims that they won't replace the $ because every transaction was considered "authorized" due to the fact that it used his debit card. M&T did NOTHING to secure his account and never shut it down when the system saw unauthorized transactions! Now my 96 yr old dad on a fixed income is out $20K! If he didn't have another account, he'd be on the streets!!! These people are the worst!!! Never use M&T Bank!

The tellers at this bank are extremely rude! I will be taking my banking to another bank! i have an account here! I tried to get a money order and the teller was extremely rude about it like I was bothering her.

I'm in this area right now ,while my son is in an interview, so to kill time, I thought I'd take care of some business. This M&T is in a parking lot with a Tops Wegmans Dollar Tree Kohls ZoomTan A nail spa place & I forget what else. It's a nice big , clean, very warm bank inside. There was only 1 "teller" there & she seemed to have to do everything. Take care of in bank customers,as well as the drive thru. She was really nice though & fast. I would definitely come back to this bank if I'm in the area.

Now I see why I do 99% of my banking at Northwest bank. I have 3 accounts with M&T bank. Every once in awhile I need to stop in at a branch office for a few notaries.Every time I walk into an M&T Bank branch. No one acknowledges me. At this particular branch I walked in no sign in sheet. They have two tables with a phone and a computer with empty chairs no employees at either table. Sat there for 20 minutes then a woman employee “asked me what I needed?” I told her some notaries. She stated I would have to wait for another woman because she doesn’t do notaries!I waited approximately 10 more minutes the other lady had finished up with a lengthy customer. Instead of saying I will be with you in a moment. She proceeded to sip coffee and make a phone call. Are you kidding me! I ended up saying screw it!Extremely unprofessional! “Very rude and inconsiderate.” Had someone acknowledged me upon arrival and said it would be awhile I would have left and went elsewhere.Time is money in my line of work.I went to “Northwest Bank” I was acknowledged immediately and treated with respect.Perhaps M&T bank should re-evaluate their customer service practices.And maybe I need to re-evaluate why I bank at M&T bank! “When they cannot acknowledge me when I arrive at a branch office.

Service is superb every single time. Today I came here to fix a transaction which was inadequate at another m&t bank location. Today I used the drive-thru. Normally I go inside. I have decided that even though this M & T Bank location is miles away from my home, it is a shortcut, in terms of how well and how quickly my banking transactions are handled. What a relief. Banking I can count on.

I've been with this branch for under a year due to my old bank closing. I like having M&T bank as my bank but this office is horrible. My bad experiences go to one person in particular, the secretary or information desk lady. When I first opened my account there she was actually the one who set up both of my accounts. It took her so long that it ate up my hour lunch break and made me late going back to work. Can I just mention how unfriendly and unhelpful she was? Next bad experience, I had to deposit cash and the line behind me kept building up as there was one teller on the floor and I watched 2 other tellers gossiping with each other as the one girl struggled. Last bad experience, last week I went to the bank on a Saturday just to see what I'll need to be pre-approved for an auto loan. I went to the lady at the information counter and very friendly and nicely asked the steps I needed to take to get a loan. She was not friendly back, hands me a business card and sends me on my way. She not only didn't help me but gave me the wrong business card and the guy I messaged had no clue what I got his card. Long story short, the lady at the information desk is horrible and ruined my experience for this band location.
