Do NOT use M&T Bank!!! My 97 year old WWII veteran father has been a loyal customer for decades. His bank card was recently stolen and the thief took $20K!!! No M&T claims that they won't replace the $ because every transaction was considered "authorized" due to the fact that it used his debit card. M&T did NOTHING to secure his account and never shut it down when the system saw unauthorized transactions! Now my 96 yr old dad on a fixed income is out $20K! If he didn't have another account, he'd be on the streets!!! These people are the worst!!! Never use M&T Bank!

M & T Call Center is awful. Every time you call you call you have to listen to this long message before you can even get to the area where you put your account number in to get your balance. Their is this long message talking about your stimulus check. REALLY M&T. WHY? Your stimulus check is not the banks responsibility. DOES anyone else feel this way? Also, it does not matter what day of the week or what time you call at you have to wait 20 to 40 minutes to get a person to talk to. I bet if i pressed the number to open up a new account or said that i want to take a mortage out their would be someone on the phone right their to talk with me.

I don't usually go to the M&T, (actually, I don't go to any M&T cause it's not my bank) lol But, I needed to take care of business for my fiancé & I was in the University Plaza area. 1st off, the parking lot for the bank is way too small & cars are whipping in & out of lot as ur trying to back out, which is dangerous. 2nd, I've never had a problem with inside this location, when this was my bank. The employees are nice & the Security Guard really keeps an eye on everyone. He even made me feel like I was about to rob the place , I felt nervous just to deposit a check. Lol Then, there was a long line that was not moving & that's because there was only 1 "teller" working, which is bs. The customer that was up there was old & picky about what she wanted, so I waited for some time. Then, the teller seemed nice, but she questioned Jim's address. She asked me about his past addresses & I gave her 3 of them. She finally said ok & told me that 2 of what I said were in the system. She kinda had a little attitude about the address. Why ?????? Anyways, it's a bank, u can't expect nice ppl all the time (unless you go to Key Bank, hehehe)

Updating this review as I've now come into the brick and mortar location which I didn't realize existed until today. It's not where the drive thru is. It's between May Jen Chinese Restaurant and Jimmy Johns - that part of the strip mall. Faces UB/Walgreens on Kenmore. It's a big location that has space for plenty of tellers. The day I was here (now as I type) the line was long because there was only one teller. Have to say, not good planning. I don't get why banks don't have the non-tellers step in when the tellers are so backed up. I find it very bad customer service. But perhaps other times of the day or week it's faster and easier. Parking in spaces out front. Update 2-2017
