Friend bought new sneakers from Hooks and the sales lady was just great with him. He was sorta indecisive and she tried on several sneakers before he found the perfect ones. Navy treed with orange stripes. He's gotten so many compliments on his new trendy sneakers .

"Old school"type of service. You may have to wait a few extra minutes to be seen, but it is worth it. The gentleman there are very friendly, knowledgeable, and take their time with you.

What an absolutely amazing experience i had at hooks. I finished a battle with stage 4 hodgkins lymphoma in february and due to the chemotherapy, i developed neuropathy damage in my feet comparable to pins an needles like a diabetic would have. I am returning to work where i stand on my feet for 7ish plus hours a day and needed some good shoes that could help me endure getting back to normal after so long from being out of work. I visited the amherst location where paul, one of the workers, greeted me after helping a family with their kids. Paul is definetely a person who hands down enjoys what he does, enjoys helping people find the right shoes to fit their needs and is incredibly personable and very kind. He took the time to listen to my needs, to understand what i was looking for and made sure before i left that my new shoes were comfortable and fit proper. He also told me how i should break them in and explained how the shoes would work to help my feet as well as what they are made of and the features they have such as non slip grip on the bottom. Honestly, whether the shoes are amazing or not in the long run, my experience with paul and how incredibly personable he was will make me a life long customer for sure, and i can only imagine the few other workers who were there are probably just as great as he was with me. For what seems to be a smaller store, they actually have a quite large selection of shoes, boots, sandals, insoles and various things to care for your shoes. I was and am throuroughly impressed with this shop and more so the incredibly refreshing and great customer service i received from paul, and to not recommend them and their service if your looking for great shoes for your needs at with amazing customer service would be insulting to them if i didnt. If your debating going for whatever reason, stop doing so and go, you will not be upset or regret the choice. Thanks paul and hooks for honestly a great experience and even better customer service, you have a customer for life in me now.

Great service. They provide Birkenstock repair service and can resole at a fraction of the cost of a new pair.

I purchased a pair of sneakers and an orthotic in August. I love them both. Has done so much for my plantar fasciitis. The service at Hook’s is excellent. I have recommended them to others and willdefinitely be going back when it is time for new sneakers or orthotic!

About a month ago I called Hooks Shoes asking about ortho inserts. The man said yes , but I would need an appointment. 10 days later a arrived at Hooks at my appointed time. The man then told me that I needed an RX. So I went to my Doctor and called Hooks again for a new Appointment. The man said I didnt need an appointment . So I arrived first thing Friday morning with my RX in hand. Now I was asked if I have insurance . I said yes gave the 'insurance woman" my card and told her Ive bought inserts twice before with my Insurance with a small deductible. She told me I had a 5000.00 deductible and I should call the insurance company myself because it would take her an hour or more. So I left Hooks shoes. Later that day I called my insurance company as told. This 4 minute call confirmed my inserts are covered and that I have a small deductible NOT 5000.00! So now im sure I have everything I need except the desire to return too Hooks Shoes .

How about NOT being rude to people looking to buy orthotic shoes and support your business? I've experienced horrible customer service in the past (Eggert location) and now my friend just did. I thought mine was a fluke but reading others reviews I guess you guys are just rude people. 0/10 do not recommend.

I’m in the market for new shoes and the reviews were good so I checked them out. Paul assisted me and he was awesome. Got me fitted and gave me his expertise on multiple shoes. Will definitely be back
