No one was there when I went to pick up my car. I had to wait almost an hour for someone to show up. No one would answer the phone and no one responded to my voicemails.

I rent a vehicle 4-5 days a week normally from Enterprise for work. When I tried to rent a vehicle for July 11 Enterprise did not have any available vehicles, so I decided to give Hertz a second chance. When I first started this job year and half ago Hertz was the first rental agency I used, and the vehicle was so dirty I really had no desire to use them again. The issue this time was far more severe. I was called on July 10 telling me their employee called in for 7/11 and I would not be able to pick up my rental from the Niagara Falls Boulevard location. They did arrange for me to pick up a vehicle at the Sheridan Drive location in Amherst which was inconvenient, but I agree to the change as I had no other choice. Turns out the Amherst location was never notified I was going to pick up car there and they had no available vehicles which left me unable to secure rental that day. The employee at the Amherst location stated this is a real problem with the Niagara Falls Boulevard location and they often have this happen where they just send people to Amherst to pick up a car without any notification to the Amherst location. Not getting a rental cost my employer $96 more than more than rental would’ve cost paying me milage. I strongly urge others not to use this location or even hertz in general as I’ve had three experiences with them and two of them have been negative. I notice they have a lot of this location is close complaints on Google I would heed these warnings if you need a car to rent and go literally anyplace else.

Had a reservation weeks in advance, but when we showed up at the pickup location, a shop employee informed us the Hertz rep wasn't on site. After several phonecalls, a rep showed up 20 minutes later and seemed inconvenienced to have to be there. The SUV we rented was dirty inside & out, and needed an oil change on the 3rd day we had it. I've used Hertz before with no issues, but this location doesn't seem to care what the customer or corporate office think about the rental experience.

Imagine this: you go into hetz.com and reserve a car at this location. You prepay for it and think that it’s all set. The date of the reservation arrives, you take a ride to the office to be there just in time, but when you arrive you find out that the office has been closed for weeks and that the car for which you paid for doesn’t exist.Well, that’s exactly what happened to me! When I arrived the person at this site (who has nothing to do with Hertz) told me that Hertz at Niagara Falls used to rent part of this location as a satellite office, but that they had closed it “temporarily” several weeks before. He told me that I wasn’t the only one to have shown there to pick-up a non-existent car, in fact this have happened in a daily basis since the office closed.The only remnant of a Hertz office on this site was a Hertz sign and a piece of paper with the address and phone number of the Niagara Falls location (which is about 10 miles away). I called to that number, and of course no one picked-up my call. I left a voice message and never got a reply.The nightmare didn’t end there. When I called Hertz it was very difficult to speak with a real human being. When I was able to do so (after waiting 15 minutes in line) I received a very basic apology and I was only offered to get a refund on my credit card. All of this happened more than a week ago, and as of today I haven’t received the refund.Never ever in my life I will try to rent with Hertz again! I have just met another level of bad customer service.

When we take our vehicles for service at Northtown they arrange our loaner car through this Hertz location. We had a couple of not so pleasant experiences with a previous employee there. We were happy to learn that employee is no longer at the Niagara Falls Blvd Hertz . Our 1st experience with Mohammad-( a new employee to this location) was wonderful. He was very nice, extremely accommodating & an ALL AROUND GOOD GUY!. We've dealt with Muhammad several times now through Northtown and Auto Collision & Glass. Each time he has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure we have a great experience. He is a real assest to Hertz and a complete pleasure to deal with. What a difference he has made in our opinion of this Hertz location . We would recommend the Hertz on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst to anyone - because of Mohammad Rizek. He is the true meaning of excellent customer service!

I will NEVER in my life rent a car from a company whose employees have no customer service. While I was at McDonald's behind me was a Hertz vehicle, two middle-aged white men were telling me to hurry the hell up so they could get to work. Me not knowing what to get and getting frazzled by people actually talking to me glared & took my time. By the time I was paying for my food the male in the passenger seat was at my passenger window telling me "**** You". The store manager at McDonald's did not try to help me, nor did he even give me his name. I feel so disrespected by both the Hertz and McDonald's and yet the two feel as if they can't do anything so I'll just give the facts of what happened and let the happy customers decide their fate. Not sure what Hertz the men worked at but the company truck said Hertz on the front. We were at the McDonalds on Main St. so I'm assuming they're employed here. Just imagine if this were night time instead of 11 am. I could have ended up dead in a ditch as many unnamed women do.
