we arrived for our early dinner reservation and we're warmly greeted. We had a very comfortable table, professional waiter, who was very helpful. The food was delicious, though the main courses took quite a long time to come out. That being said, we enjoyed everything and will be back next week!

We were staying in Hillsdale and were consistently let down with all the local places. This was a 30 minute drive but it didn't disappoint. I have the Duck, my GF had the Cavatelli. The tomato app with bleu cheese was probably the tastiest thing I've had all year. Highly recommend this place.

Thanks Troutbeck for another great experience. Everything and everyone was fantastic. Jen welcomed us, Sam made us fabulous cocktails (and the best Hugo spritz ever) and Alicia went above and beyond as our server. She was professional, friendly and made our night even more memorable.

My experience at Troutbeck was so great that I almost didn't want to share it with the world. Service, food, and ambiance were impeccable. The food isn't what you'd expect, but there is something for everyone. Service is friendly and attentive. Most of the 2-seater tables are "sweetheart tables" which means lovely intimacy with the other person you are with. I haven't had such exceptional service while traveling in a very long time. It's a really beautiful and spectacular experience.

TheInn is beautiful and historic, but the noise level interfered with our conversation, and tho the servers were friendly, the food was not up to the expectations, Fish was on the dry side, duck was too rare, someone should have asked how the diner wanted it, and beet salad was under dr3essed.

Dining at Troutbeck is above and beyond most restaurant Inns in the Hudson River Valley. You are greeted upon arrival by the front desk staff, notably David and ushered into the dining room of this noble historic mansion. The wait staff are cheerful , gracious and professional. You will be transported to an incredible time and place in history as if guests of the great proprietor Joel Springarn. You'll join the company of his guests such as John Burroughs to W E Debois. BTW: Mr. Sprinarn hosted the W E Dubois 1919 conference forprestigious African Americans to advance their cause for justice. He was an early president of the NAACP! The food and beverage manu are a passport to the past present in great style.

Troutbeck is a beautiful venue. The servers are surprisingly amateur for the price point, it is not a Danny Meyer type experience, think more local high school kids. The food was pretty good. I was glad to see so many vegetables across the board. For about $180/person, I wasn't blown away.

We stayed here for a night and it was amazing! Such beautiful grounds, great variety of activities and programming, delicious food and perfect place for our pup to explore. The staff was so helpful as well!
We will definitely be back

We had not need there in years. Absolutely perfect! Celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. The natural landscape is breathtaking. I could stay there forever! Live, Give and Love cheers to you, James? I hope we return soon.

This was truly terrible. Troutbeck has lost all of its joy and appeal from when Gabe McMackin was the chef. The table was filthy, fries under the table smooshed into the carpet when we were seated; the waitress was so impatient with us and nearly rolled her eyes when we had questions about the menu. She truly belongs in a Denny's. Won't be going back here sadly.

Great experience! The room was comfortable, the property is gorgeous and the service was amazing. I especially loved the tiramisu!

Lovely place, outstanding food, great service. The setting is bucolic and multiple rooms to dine in. Children are allowed at the resort and that might trouble some people. But ignoring that and the menu can seem pricey—we'd dine there again.

Troutbeck is one of my favorite hotels, resorts, inns, etc. The grounds area beautiful and perfectly laid back, while also upscale. The food is some of my favorite farm to table cuisine. The rooms are beautiful and the beds comfortable, and the staff accommodating. Make sure you try their morning scones and their olive oil cake. Favorite 5 star!

An absolutely wonderful dog friendly place to recharge and get away from our hectic life in NYC. The rooms are meticulously clean and so comfortable with soft linens. The food and drinks are delicious and beautifully presented. The grounds are tranquil and picturesque. And the service is superior in all respects. I have to single out a few members of the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay just perfect: Dave who was so helpful; Sandy who made the best cocktails; and Julio who was so welcoming and such a gem providing wonderful recommendations. Thank you so much! This was our third time staying at Troutbeck and we can’t wait to plan another visit in the future!
