There is nothing like this place. A beautiful Olympic size swimming pool, a pond, dunes and the Ocean. All in a quaint town within walking distance. Very secluded and never crowded like many of the shore points. Quiet and peaceful.

I stayed here 4th of July weekend summer of 2020 with my fiancée during the pandemic. It was a fantastic and relaxing getaway from Manhattan for a week, and we got to put Covid out of our minds and soak up the sun both on the beach & pool side. I love that The Ocean Dunes Apartments has both a really nice pool with lounge chairs/umbrellas, as well as a private beach with lounge chairs & umbrellas, so if you want to hit the beach instead of the pool, take a 2 minute stroll down their boardwalk and you'll find yourself on one of the nicest beaches in The Hamptons...It's the "Best of Both Worlds"...The property is private, secure, peaceful, and right in the heart of The Hamptons, also not far from Montauk. Location is ideal, ocean front and the local shops & restaurants are literally a walk away. Highly recommend...We look forward to going back again!

We’ve loved the calm, relaxing beautiful place though the apartment we stayed in was far from being perfect. But the Ocean Dunes Apartments area and location were magical to me and my husband. Martin the nicest! We’ve been there late September, the weather (the sunsets!!) was nice, and the place and the Hamptons pretty isolated, in a good way. ?♀️ ? ? ?

The manager here is very rude! We drove for hours and my fiancé is 6 mo pregnant. Upon arrival we were told that they have no room for us because it was a minimum week stay, even though the property sent a text to confirm our 2 night weekend stay. His response was pay an extra night and I’ll give you 2 free nights, he tried to get us for money. Don’t ever go here, he’s rude and greasy looking a thief!

The grounds are magnificent. The pool, gorgeous nature walk over the Double Dune Preserve to the beach and the view from our room made for a very special vacation. If you are looking for a quiet place, this is it. You’ll need to speak in a whisper when you are on your deck or by the pool. This worked perfectly for us, but if you are looking for some action, this isn’t the place for you. The unit we stayed in was sufficient, that’s where the 4 rating comes from, otherwise this place is a 5+. From my very first phone call, Dimitri, the property manager, was helpful, kind and patient. His professionalism and care set the tone for our week’s stay. It’s obvious that customer service is integral to this property, as everyone I encountered did their best to ensure that our needs were met. We’ll definitely make our way back to this little slice of heaven in Amagansett.

I have not yet stayed at this resort, but am planning on staying there in September. I previously had a reservation at this hotel, but due to COVID-19 it was cancelled. I must say, the customer service, specifically, Dimitri, is absolutely wonderful!! Despite all of our headaches back and forth with the cancellation and rescheduling of our trip, Dimitri was great every step of the way. He responded to my emails very promptly and was eager to remedy the situation, offering several solutions to make us happy. 5 stars to this resort's staff, especially Dimitri!!

The room we got was very clean and nice and it was near places we wanted to get to. The only thing we didn’t like was the extreme attention from the staff to the point where it got annoying. On our way there, they called us 3 times, where they mentioned last minute that their office closes at a certain time so they would leave our room key in their safe box outside. We get there, find the safety box, press the code they gave us, and it wouldn’t open. We tried probably like 40 times, so we called the super but he was nowhere to be found. There was no one to help us. Until finally we got ahold of the receptionist who kindly came back to the office to help get us a copy of the room key. All of that wasted like an hour of our time, and we were late to dinner. This woman who seemed like the manager also kept eyeing us like we don’t belong there or we’re doing something wrong.. could be just us, but we got a weird vibe.

Room 132. Avoid it unless your are guaranteed the owners have upgraded it. It was dated but that wasn't the issue. The two twin beds in the second bedroom are probably 30 years old. The springs poked through the mattress making sleep hard and not great for one's back. Every radiator was badly rusted. which exemplified the lack of maintenance. The full bath was so badly maintained that my friend's arthritic mother grabbed the handle coming out of the shower and the handle came off in her hand. The mini refrigerator wasn't conducive to holding food enough to cook never mind our mainstay eating items. Tiny kitchen. Windows couldn't be pushed open or closed. Took two of us to do that and one window simply could not be moved when it got cold. As I said, don't mind funky but this was unmaintained, uncared for and way overpriced for what it is. The Dunes apartments are on the beach and beautiful. Just don't rent this unit.

I had emailed the resort before arriving that we needed a room that would accommodate a person with a disability. (My husband has difficulty walking due to Parkinson's). Upon arrival, they put us in an antiquated unit with a regular bathtub that was difficult for my husband to get into to shower. I went to the office several times to speak with management about this and each time I was told "manager is not here right now." I was finally able to speak with Sebastian (the manager) the following day and they put us in a newer unit with a shower stall. However, there was no adjustment on our bill for our inconvenience of having to move all our belongings to a different room. My impression is that no one took the time to read my email or if someone did, they did not care enough about it to try to accommodate us before we arrived. In addition, I found that "Daniel" (the clerk at the desk) was not helpful at all. On the first night of our arrival, I discovered there was no ice in the freezer of our unit and called the desk to see if we could get ice. Daniel simply said "there's an ice machine in the parking lot." I walked out onto the parking lot (it was already dark by then) and could not see an ice machine. I went back into the office and told Daniel there was no ice machine visible. He then said to me "would you like me to draw you a map?". I said NO! I want you to show me exactly where the ice machine is. He then reluctantly got up off his chair and walked me to the ice machine (which was inside a locked room on the parking lot). Mind you, Daniel never explained this to me initially. His attitude was very passive; he did not go out of his way to try to help me unless I pressed him for it. The only plus to this resort is that they have a noise restriction from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Will probably not come back here.
