Came on time and did a wonderful job planting the trees and shrubs we ordered. Gary Gillespie helped us with the plants and directed his crew here, which knew exactly what they had to do. The job was extremely professional, done quickly, and the results enhanced our yard.In addition to doing an excellent job in planting our purchases, Gillespie's stock can always be depended on to be in topclass shape.

I’ve been in contact via telephone for the past month and a half trying to purchase and plant two dogwood trees. Each time I was told that the new shipment of trees weren’t in and to call back in a few weeks. So I call today and whoever I spoke with couldn’t be bothered to answer my questions. When I asked if there was a better time to call I was told that “I’m getting delivers all day and I’m swamped” in a tone that indicated he didn’t have any interested in the sale. So much for putting the customer first. George’s in Latham was more than happy to take the business.

First time at colonial we had a very nice experience. Gary was very knowledgeable and friendly. They have the biggest and healthiest assortment of plants. We bought several evergreens ,grass seed and fertilizers. The planting instructions Gary gave us were very helpful. We will be back again!

I worked there for a couple of years and always enjoyed the privledge to educate and serve the customer. The selection is always top notch and you will not find a better team to make things beautiful in your yard from spring to winter! I make it a yearly thing to buy one item a year regardless where I am in the country.

They have a great selection but the staff are nasty as heck! I've been there 3 times and all three times the have been miserable. This past time one of the staff heard me saying that another gentleman that worked there refused to show me a tree so he was nice enough to do it for me.
