I arrived at night with a quarter tank of gas; I was traveling through and I foolishly forgot that rural NY wouldn't 24-hour gas stations. The whole place was dark, including the pumps. The first spot I pulled up to, credit card wasn't working. The second spot I pulled up to, the gas was trickling so slowly that I could hear it--1 gallon must have taken a full minute or more. So, the third spot I pulled up to worked. Thank goodness.But this whole time, I'm scared that someone could easily see me alone and take advantage of me. I think I will fill up somewhere else if I ever find myself back in that area.

Gas was a bit pricey but location considered I'm not surprised. Person working in the store was nice.
