“I attended the candle light concerts this evening. It's an excellent inimate cultural experience to share with your loved ones. We saw the Christmas Carol Concert. We loved it and would definitely experience this again.”

“We picked up one of their Friday night dinner specials. We got sauerbraten, sauerkraut, spatzle and an apple tart for $20. It was served in a 3 compartment tray. We got ours to go, but people were in clubhouse eating there from the same trays.

We were also served a cucumber salad? Sliced cucumbers in soir cream sauce? The wife loved it, but, alas I hate cucumbers.

Food was delicious.

The bar was hopping!

The age seemed to be Cucumbers. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.”

The person behind the cafe super nice as well and for a place were you can only have food that they make and drinks their prices are reasonable and fair
The events they host clean and organized and the rewards for playing even in local Friday night magic really good
There are few minor things
1) big gaming space is def on the warm side in the summer ( just dress accordingly)
2) in terms of singles they don’t have alot. ( that’s because they sell out of them quickly and that just means there popular and do very well)
But if your new to magic the gather or heck love board games I highly recommend this place they also have a huge board game selection for people to play and some to buy .”

“Went to a "Tulip Tea" We were served several different flavors of tea, tea sandwiches and desserts. A painted champagne glass was given for us to keep. Pleasant way to spend the afternoon.”

“An ingenious way to design a downtown plaza. There is an underground concourse that connects all the government towers with the Capitol, and the New York State Museum. There's also a free public observation deck on top of the tallest tower. Above ground there are lovely fountains with plenty of walking area. Plus the iconic Egg that's good for photo ops. You could spend a whole day here! The only downside is that parking can be limited at busy times.”

“my husband and i are from here. we are married on 5/18, and each year pay homage to our favorite place and time by visiting a historical establishment in the area. we stayed at the argus motel last night and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. the grounds are beautiful, the staff are very personable and friendly, and our bed was super comfy. the room was so clean and we really enjoyed the butler kitchen breakfast. thank you for everything!”

“It has been a great experience living at Cornerstone location, wonderful gym facility, best food stores around like Whole Foods, Trader's Joes ect. ... Management and the staff has been very helpful when needed and property is very well kept at all times, would definitively recommend the place.Kathy and Melodie are the best.”

“The State Room was the first venue that my husband and I visited and we weren’t expecting to be so completely enamored! We would compare every other wedding venue we visited afterwards to The State Room. From the beginning, Lisa and Tom made us feel so at ease with wedding preparations and planning. They were always a phone call or email away and responded almost immediately. They were as invested in planning our wedding as we were and made sure that we followed a timeline and got things done–Tom and Lisa acted as our wedding planners! On top of that, you can’t beat the beauty and grandeur of the venue–just stunning!Tom showed up to the church about an hour before the ceremony to help out–he helped carry my dress and bouquet and made sure I had whatever I needed. You really are his priority and he makes it known. After the ceremony, Tom is right there to give you a bottle of water and whisk you back downtown in his car.I could write an entire review for the food itself. Everyone at the wedding was so full from the amount of food they ate–the largest prime ribs we have ever eaten, endless appetizers, and mountains of cake. And then a fun food finale to top it all off! Our guests are still talking about the food!We had the most wonderful wedding thanks to Tom and Lisa and the rest of the staff at The State Room!”

“I had to come to Albany for training for my Job and this hotel was excellent! I will say my room had a stale smell at first but I just put a wall plug in and it helped! But the staff were great! They had free breakfast and cool social nights with free food Monday-Wednesday. How cool is that! Also Lataysha at the front desk was so helpful and friendly! She’s great!”

“My step son Justin Park has played indoor football at Afrim's Sports park in Albany for several years. I saw a Tornado table there months ago with kids wanting to play but the table was all jammed up and not playable. Today I went to watch the indoor football game and brought my bag of Tornado tools and parts and replaced the bearings, a fews guys and pins, cleaned up the playing surface, and rods, new balls and repaired the broken coin slot. Nobody knew who I was or why I was doing this. I had my 518 Foosball shirt on and then met and exchanged personal info with the owner Afrim. I love this sport and love Afrims Sports.”

“This hotel is beautiful. For those who need a place to stay, you won't be disappointed. The front desk check-in was friendly and fast. Show Evan some love when you go. He was abundantly helpful. He pratically mapped out how to get around the unique layout of the hotel. The first impression was great. Do not let the exterior fool you. The inside is spacious and modern. I want to talk about the staff. I would give the entire staff 10 stars if I could. This hotel accommodated March Madness teams, a wedding, and a 7 State Delegation Council on Friday, March 29th. Go over to the restaurant and enjoy the service of Dave, Tony, Danielle, Ava, and Hayley. Bring your groups here, and have your wedding here. The Crown Plaza has thee best Bartenders and Management I've ever experienced. Thank you all for a memorable evening! Just book the room and enjoy yourself.Rooms: I stayed in a suite that was top-tier quality. The bed was incredible. Im 140lbs and felt like i was sleeping in a cloudFood & drinks: Big D's restaurant is delicious. Try the burger. 5/5 taste and quality.Noteworthy details: Close to the Albany Airport”

“We were in town due to a medical emergency. We reserved a room through bookings and it wasn't showing up the manager and desk staff were very busy and very professional and polite they figured out the issue with the room and made a stressful situation for our family a good experience!”
