I called and left messages twice that I could host two small families in my home. Never got a call back. Now I am bringing people in from Cuba, Nicaragua and Ukraine because I couldn't connect with people already here

In the midst of all the noise about refugees and borders this organization is helping incoming humans and their families find their footing in our country. Great work helping those who helped our embassies or are fleeing death in far off places.

WARNING - most of the positive reviews below are from people who WORK at USCRI.This organization doesn't seem to realize that TAXPAYER MONEY comes from the US State Dept. for them to place people in need. They placed a family in one of my rental units without knowing how much they would receive from the government (without telling me that was the case). Because I love the idea of helping a refugee family, I agreed to keep the family for 9 months at a reduced rent. As the time I'd stop accepting the reduced rate drew closer, no one bothered to respond to my numerous emails of warning that I was going to get THE ORIGINAL rent or the family must move out (these were sent on the first of each month beginning 3 months before move out date). I repeated myself to two employees who posted "reviews" below as well as one other worker, the president of the organization AND the refugee herself. WHY WAS I ASKED THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER ( I am hard of hearing, so I have every single email/txt and see it was like pulling teeth to get a response) ? This was like talking to numerous 6 year olds. I welcome refugees, but they deserve a far better organization than this clown-car of people. Everyone wonders why it is difficult to find landlords who accept people on assistance - organizations like USCRI ARE WHY LANDLORDS DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED.

This office does not help refugees. They make the refugees fend for themselves , for example 5 children came and for 6 months the children were not enrolled , why ? Because mom had a language barrier and needed assistance filling out registration papers. They hire staff that have no case management backround and no language skills to help the refugees. They should be ashamed of themselves.
