I went to SUNY Albany from 1989-1993. Like a lot of guys in my generation at that time, I had my ear pierced (I mean, I still do), and one day I went into Romeo’s to buy myself another earring. I’m not sure if I got myself a gold hoop or a silver hoop back then. Whichever I got, I am sure I still have it, packed away in my Trunk of Precious Things. (Don’t you have one of those?) I currently wear a silver hoop that I remember getting somewhere else, but I’m sure the Romeo’s one is in that trunk.
I’m writing this review right now because I was doing some Google Map tourism, which is a favorite pastime of mine, and decided to check on the memory of Romeo’s. I am thrilled and pleased that after all this time, Romeo’s is still in business there on Lark Street. I wish I could say the same about The Blue White Rainbow, which was on the other side of the street, and also had lots of cool stuff.

If you can't think of anything to give as a gift, I highly recommend this gift shop. While you're here, you'll be available to get different gift ideas because of a wide range of items available here. You can pick from lamps, clocks, soaps, etc. These are very great gifts to give to your friends and family

We've been shopping for gifts at Romeo's for many years! It's one of the friendliest shops on Lark street, with a wide selection of unique finds! Joe always has the best cards & gifts

Based on the previous reviews of this place, I made sure my husband and I went during a long weekend we took to the area. We were not disappointed by any means. The store has so many interesting things--I wish I had more space at home to buy more than I did. Besides buying for myself, I did also find a fair amount of gifts. The owner was kind and thorough. This place is a gem and we will be sure to return every time we're in the Albany, NY area.
