This place is amazing ! No nitrates in their meat ! Make everything there . Best grillers ! Staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable ! So glad I found this hidden gem while visiting daughter in college ! Almost bought one of everything in case ! The real deal ! You can’t find these places anymore !

Rolf's store is such a treasure to Albany, especially located in the heart of the city near Central Avenue on Lexington Ave. Every product is prepared with the love and dedication of its very friendly and accommodating staff. So much goodness to be found here.

Incredible selection and accommodating staff. So many great meats you can only find here. The tongue bologna is amazing, but the same can be said for all. Looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic..highest quality meats expertly butchered by humans..It's a family business and it is obvious that tradition rules..To say that the menu is extensive is an understatement..delicacies to organs it is at Rolf's. I have been raw feeding my dogs since the 1960's using 80% red raw muscle meats and 20% red raw organs fed at 2% of the body weight per day split into two meals..I have zero tolerance for substandard meats..I could not be more pleased with Rolf's quality, handling and availability..Eating well doesn't cost..it pays..

Excellent shop if you're interested in European sausage. They carry products not normally available in your typical grocery. Prices are decent and a very good list of products.

It was worth the two hours plus drive for the Leberkase for our New Years breakfast.Landjäger was a homerun as well.
Lots of import specialties too! The store is neat and clean, I highly recommend.

My 2nd time here. Recommended to try by a friend. German Potato Salad is excellent! Meats are fresh, tasty and plenty of variety to choose from. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Store is very clean.

Great stuff. I had trouble stopping myself from buying everything in the place. They have some ingredients for cooking that you can only get in German grocery.

Not only is this the best German butcher shop but I would go as far as saying this is the best butcher shop in the whole state. I’ve been to Germany a few times and the food/products are right on par with what I had in Europe. This is a family run business and the folks that run it are very friendly, professional, and passionate about the quality of work that they provide. Every time I visit my hometown, I make it a point to stop in here! The daisy ham is out of this world! Highly highly highly recommend this place 10/10!!!
