Very nice and clean hotel. My mini apartment was in the most modern building. Clean, well furnished and spacious rooms. On the ground floor of the older building breakfast was served in a beautiful kitchen. It felt like we were guests in a home, rather than a hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel very close to the centre, absolutely recommended.

Very comfortable stay. We were in #399, 8th floor unit; the main Madison is #393. Our place was thoughtfully appointed, e.g. two bag racks, in 1922 building .The beautiful main building has a lovely common area and back garden to enjoy coffee and breakfast. Location is fantastic, walkable to tons of restaurants and bars. Kind, attentive proprietors. Only minor problem was mosquitoes in room despite shut windows.

Convenient for a quick visit to downtown Albany.
You can see the center by walking.
Parking is a plus.
It is a little worn but clean and nothing is missing. Suitable for the price

Was in Albany for an event over a long weekend that was downtown about a mile away which we walked to and from with no issues. When checking in there is no big sign saying the hotel's name so look for the street number instead which was clearly visible. We went to a different restaurant near the hotel every day which was easy to do as there were plenty of options. The room had a well equipped kitchenette which was nice. My biggest qualm was that the muffins weren't labeled so I ended up with a lemon muffin instead of a corn muffin one morning and on another day grabbed a chocolate chip muffin instead of a blueberry. Will look at staying here again if every back in Albany

Step back in time into this lovely B&B filled with nostalgia, antiques and incredible hospitality. The rooms are clean and cozy...the breakfast variety includes sweet cakes and muffins, oatmeal, quiche, whole fruit, a variety of breads to toast, coffee, tea, juices, bottled water. ..so much to choose from! The staff is personable providing quality service.

Had a fabulous stay, albeit short (just one night), and plan to stay here again in the future. Staff were very helpful, friendly, and communicative from the time of making the reservation to the moment we left. I loved the house and the vibe, the night we were there was drizzly and a wee bit foggy, reminded me of the movie Gaslight :) And the peach tart at breakfast was braw!

A well furnished Bed & Breakfast in a beautifully historic area of Albany. A convenient walk to the Capital District sites as well as several bars and restaurants. The breakfast was adequate. Important to know - it is a walk-up with rooms on the second, third and fourth floors! Also, not really necessary to pay extra for the "Park View" as ours was through a very small window and was obscured by nearby trees.Walkability: Albany is a VERY walkable city!

Great hotel, beautiful place, reception, lobby and kitchen in the main building are amazing. The hosts were wonderful, they welcomed us warmly and we also received tips about the city. The room was clean, well-kept, hot water in the shower. Very comfortable bed, nice bedding. Tasty breakfast, maybe not very diverse, but sufficient and tasty for us :-)
